There was that sweet Droid radio Metz (I think him) posted about
Yup, it was me. I'm still enjoying it as is, but rooting is looking more and more attractive, just to be able to totally customize the home screen.
I have a Kenwood DDX-371 & love it. the aux is through the back... I just ran the wire around to center console. Can plug in anything thru aux, anything thru USB, and dock your ipod. DVD, Bluetooth phone, Bluetooth media, touch screen.

Yes you do sir! You need an upgrade in that dept. lolwow.. took a quick peek at the Droid headunits.. I definitely need to do some more reading up on those

I had a question about this. I too am looking to replace the stock radio in my 2012. i was wondering how that would work with the push button style A/C controls. The whole radio is behind a plastic cover.. obviously that would go, but how does it look after that's been removed and a new radio is installed.
In other words, does a new cover piece need to be ordered, or will the stock plastic cover that makes everything look flush, need to be modified?
If you're thinking of getting a double din, you'll need a dash kit. i ordered this one off amazon, looks flawless in the dash. don't have a photo of it off hand installed.

That may be what I wind up doing. Even if I didn't want a double din radio, it still doesn't look like I could change it out without this plastic cover being in the way. I posted a picture for refrence, my X is pretty barebones for an S. The only difference I can see from an X is fog lights and the air dam storage
Then it's stupid easy to put a radio in. Stocker was a full double DIN. Just reuse the factory brackets and boom! Or get a single DIN mounting kit.I'm gen 1
