I met two trees and a rock today.

Parts of that are down to the metal. My oldest just wants me to clear coat it so it still looks like that. "It looks so cool!"
You should also consider putting little stickers of what you battled next to the wound. Like trees, rocks, shopping carts etc! ;) Where did you go around Denver to have this fun? Can remember lots of mtn bike trails not so much 4wd. Up around Nederland?

Done a lot of hiking all around Bueny but never had the X out that way. Heard good stuff about Chinaman.
Actually ended up running it backwards. And I think that was the right call. There were a few obstacles that would have been WAY harder going up.

I did have to get strapped out twice. One climb where my front tires just wouldn't climb a 2ft vertical face and a 2nd time where I slid off of something and high centered.

Chinaman Gulch near Buena Vista. Was an awesome trail. Very technical. That rock was in the middle of a turn was committed at that point.
Sorry about the ding but it does look like a monster scratched it. Agree with your kid though looks cool. Never did much around Buena Vista. Only Tincup pass but I upped the degree of difficulty by using a Chevy Luv I had for work. That was a classically krrapie 4wd if there ever was one. That’s quite the day trip to go to Buena Vista and wheel. Nice. Hope you had fun and a beer!

I could live in Buena Vista or Salida. Still some vestiges of old Colorado Mountain towns there. Very pretty too. Good for you for being so ambitious. It’s important to raise women to 4wd and have fun. Good work!

Buenie is getting upscale. Cost of housing is rising faster than a tsunami. I was talking with a local that had moved there 15 years ago, and he said that if he had to move there now he couldn't afford it. New houses are going for $750k+, and stacked close together like cord-wood.
