A few weeks ago I picked up this '95 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS from the original owners, who happened to be my aunt and uncle lol. They had heard from my mom that I was looking to pick up a cheap dd to drive to work and whatnot so they called me up and told me they wanted to sell it since they have 3 other vehicles and they just don't drive it much now with 2 kids. My uncle is pretty particular about his vehicles so everything is super clean. I've ridden and driven the car numerous times over the years so I bought it as soon as I had the funds ready.

It has just about every power option, 5spd manual, sunroof, cruise control, and the best part!? Just a little over 61,000 miles, the oil has been changed every 3000 miles religiously and it's been garaged since 2000.

While its in amazing condition for 20 years old it does need a few things. The front of the headliner is coming down and the sunroof sunshade panels need to be recovered. The hatch struts were toast so I replaced those and installed a new headunit since the original radio decided it would only work when it wanted to.

I'm also going to go ahead and get some maintenance items out of the way. NGK plugs, wires, a timing belt kit, and new belts are on the way from RockAuto.

Hard to believe that style Eclipse is 20 years old. The design has aged well, and that particular car is in amazing condition. Not too many left on the road, much less looking that good. Congrats on the new (to you) ride!

Thanks man! Yea I think for being 20 years old it still looks really good compared to most cars these days.. now some parts of the car have been repainted over the years.. the hood and right rear quarter had some slight damage on them at different times so portions have been completely repainted. But over all, there are no dents or scratches and just a few rock chips on the hood.

My dad had a red 94 GST that I wish I could have now. Nice find!

Ahhh nice. Yea that would be sweet. First gen eclipses are pretty rare around here.. quite a few 2G though.. most are beat to hell or riced out unfortunately.

The 7-1/2 year old battery died on me last weekend, so out goes the old duralast battery and in comes a kick-ass Optima red-top. The car fires up so much faster now

Drove up to Charlottesville this morning to meet an Xterra owner out of Hampton Roads who wanted to buy my spare 285/75/16 mud claw. Probably the first and last time a mud terrain will be in the car lol

Yea the 3rd gen and on look like crap.. 95-99 was definitely the best years for these. I love the car, but if it was the turbo awd GSX model, I'd love it a little more lol
