03 SC AUTO TO MAN - ECM QUESTIONS

Hello XN folks..

I purchased Mirage's X earlier this year and have finally started working on the swap. I'm to the point where I'm ready to pick up the replacement ECM, but have run into some conflicting information.

Original vehicle is an '03 SE Supercharged model
Donor Manual trans came out of a '02 Supercharged model

I've checked a few dealerships and received different part #'s from each of them.
1st = 23710-EK861
2nd = 2371M-6S660RE

I've also heard that I just need to get a unit from an '03 Supercharged SE Manual Xterra or Frontier

I'm hoping to see if anyone here is able to help clarify what I should be looking for.

Any assistance you could offer would be appreciated..

Thanks RX

It'll be good to see his truck finished! Heh.

If the transmission actually came from an SC X, it was from an 02. That was the only year you could get a manual SE/SC.

Fronty might have been available as a manual SC in 03, but I'm not sure.

The first p/n you listed only shows as an 03 Fronty computer. No designation.

The 2nd one shows as 03-04 NA. So non supercharged. Let me see if I can track down a VIN for an SE/SC and call my dealership contact and find out if I can get a part number from them so we can cross reference.

Happy New Years Folks!

Any 2002 SC / SE Manual trans Xterra owners here willing to respond with your VIN# so we can figure this out? I thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Just wanted to post the following information so it's available for folks doing auto to man swaps in the future. A new computer is not necessary and will not prevent the vehicle from running properly. You will just receive a couple obdii codes that will not trip a check engine light. Hope this helps.
