14 bolt SF SOA fluid change

Hey guys. So this isn't the normal axle. It's a 14 bolt I swapped in street I did my SAS. Decided to change the fluid and haven't felt much with gears. There's a bit of shimmer in the fluid is this anything to be worried about? How's the wear pattern?

While I cannot comment on the wear pattern, a light shimmer in your fluid is somewhat normal, especially in fluids that are under heavy loads or not changed within the specified intervals. As long as it isn't like a craft-store glitter (larger spackles), you're fine on that. Obviously, chunky soup is not what you want.

without painting them you will never know what the actual pattern is and if it is ok. It would be more important to check backlash and preload.

on a second note, while you have it off, weld a bung on that cover makes your fluid changes so much easier.
