2008 Xterra .... Front wheel Drive Only??

I blew out the rear differential and was wondering if I can still drive the vehicle with just the front wheel differential (rear drive shaft disconnected)

IMHO..... you do not know what damage has been done to the rear diff. It could lock up suddenly and cause you to have an accident. Get it fixed.

No. The rear diff is still spinning in that case and your transfercase will be blowing fluid out the tailshaft the entire time without the slipyoke in.
