Hello AZXC!

We had an awesome turnout for our first meeting of 2013! Lots of trucks showed up and a lot got accomplished during the MOD day.

We have a new logo! Thanks to our member Rev who has won a free supporting membership. AZXC is growing in 2013 and we are in the process of printing the new stickers for our supporting members! If you have not become a supporting member, you better hurry. The new logo is up on the website www.azxterraclub.com.

We would like to thank all of our sponsors for 2013, Boulder Nissan, Hunter OffRoad, Nisstec Lifts, Raingler Nets, Rigid Industries, Rock Auto, XT Fabrication, Xoskel and Warn. As many of you know we have a lot of stuff to give away from our sponsors and will be doing so throughout the year to our supporting members. Congratulations to Thefatmike for winning the Raingler raffle today!

Our next meeting is scheduled for February 16, 2013. We are going to be going to Tucson for a weekend camping trip. Details will be posted up on our forum.

One last thing, welcome to all the new members of AZXC. When you guys and gals get a chance post up a build thread we all want to see what you are rolling around town in. We are well over 200 members and continue to grow as each day goes by. It’s going to be an exciting year!

We have finalized some of the events for the upcoming months! We have some amazing stuff going on through April. 2013 is shaping up to be the best year we have had in a long time! Check out the new logo the membership voted in as well. Special thanks again to Rev for designing this logo.

It’s that time of year again where we put together an AZXC gear order. As of today the new stickers are on the way. 7-10 days for printing then shipping. We plan to have the stickers in hand within 2 weeks and out to the membership shortly thereafter. We are also putting together a T-shirt/Hooded Sweatshirt order. Deadline for the first run is Jan 31. Prices and color options are up on the forum under AZXC Gear. Don’t forget to check out the website as well at www.azxterraclub.com and also make sure you check out the forum new features such as the member map and updated profile settings.

So what is going on in the next few months you may ask? Well in February we have a camping trip coming up. This trip will be held down in the Tucson area the weekend of Feb 15. We have members coming from all over the state and out of state for this event. March we have our annual Chili Cook-off scheduled, date for that is March 16. With all the new members on AZXC it will be interesting to see who the winner will be this year! March 31 AZXC has an Xcursion planned to Smiley Rock; this will be in conjunction with a camping weekend as well. April meeting is scheduled for April 27 and we are working out location for this, but as the temperatures start to rise for the summer and we do not want to leave our members from northern AZ out of the loop the plan is to go up to the Sedona/Flagstaff area for this meeting.

Now for the month of May, as many of you know it’s GoneMoab2013 this year. AZXC is a sponsor for this event for the second year in a row. We are currently in the process of voting on what sponsorship level AZXC will be this year. Check that out the polls on the forum for this and make your vote count.

We would also like to welcome all the new members to AZXC. We have new people signing up daily.
Your AZXC team is also working with new sponsors to make this the year that we all remember. Make sure you check out the current sponsors websites and thank them for supporting our events and club!

Check that out on the forum, and a special thank you to Rev who is quickly becoming the AZXC designer.

Don’t forget that February 15 we have a camping trip coming up. This trip will be held down in the Tucson area that weekend. We have members coming from all over the state and out of state for this event. As always AZXC will “Tread Lightly” on the trails and while camping. Check out the forum for more information about this and all of the upcoming events we have planned.

This year AZXC is a proud sponsor of GoneMoab 2013. GoneMoab is the premier Nissan event of the year and we are glad to be a part of this exciting week in the 4 wheeling mecca in Moab, Utah.

Your AZXC team would like to welcome RotoPax and TrashARoo to AZXC! Those companies along with all of our other supporting vendors are the ones who supply all the giveaway gear. Please support them as they are supporting the premier Nissan club. To check out all the supporting vendors check outwww.azxterraclub.com/links.

Thank you to all off the supporting members for 2013 as well. This year we re-branded the club and everyone received a new sticker for their vehicle. Along with the new stickers we use the supporting membership to pay for club events, permits, along with food and refreshments for our bigger events like the camping trip upcoming. If you have not become a supporting member and would like to there is a donate tab on the main page of the forum to do so. We thank you in advance for your support of AZXC/AZFC & AZTC.

With one weekend left in the month of March it has been a busy one! Thank you to everyone who came out to the chili cook off. As always it was a good turn out and good times to hang out and sample some chili made by some of our members. It was also fun meeting the new members of the club.

We also just finished up our showing at the AZ Game and Fish Department Outdoor Expo. This was a great opportunity to showcase our club to many our door enthusiasts. We would like to thank the members who came out and donated their time to staff our booth. We had a few trucks showcased out there as well with a lot of interest in the Nissan off road community.

At the AZGFC Outdoor expo we committed to teaming up with HeroOffroad.Org. Hero Offroad is a nationwide community based volunteer organization by Offroaders for Offroaders, dedicated to honoring our Nations war veterans, wounded soldiers and their families. Please check them out at HeroOffroad.org.

In April we have our Sedona trip. We are going to be camping for the weekend and wheeling some of the great trails up north in our state. Make sure you sign up on the forum for this weekend adventure. Hope to see everyone out for that.

We are in our 4th month of the year and what an exciting year it has been so far! April doesn’t fall short on the activities either. Welcome to all the new members who have signed up as well, we hope to see you folks out at one of the events this month. With that let’s get to it!

April 6th is the Annual Table Mesa clean up. Every year members of the club volunteer their morning and early afternoon to help “clean up” this popular outdoor recreation area on the north side of the valley, and this year is no different. In past years volunteers at this clean up have collected over 15 tons of trash. AZ-Ted is heading this up for the club again this year so if you have questions please get in touch with him. Thanks again for all your efforts on this.

The following weekend after the clean up; April 11-13 is a going away wheeling camping trip for 07offroadX. This trip is the last weekend that 07offroadx will be around for some time. If you didn’t know he is off to boot camp! Come out and wish Chris a farewell for now. The members of the club would like to thank you for your service! We have a lot of active duty and veterans on the forum so to all of you THANK YOU for all of your service!

We wrap up the month with another camping/wheeling trip up north. As the temperatures start to rise in the southern part of the state we decided to head up to Sedona AZ for a weekend full of activities. April 27-29 is the dates of this trip. We will be camping at an elevation of over 6000ft off of Schnebly Hill Road and will venture into Red Rock Country of Sedona for some exciting trails. Saturday night we will also hold a club meeting at the camp site. For details on this or any other activity check out the forum for more information.

Again we have had a pretty busy start to the year and will continue with the events throughout the year. Special thanks to all of our sponsors again for all of the great prizes and donations to the club. We will also continue the give a ways of those at the events and on the forum.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!
