I am looking at getting new wheels and tires. The wheel I want are the dick cepek dc-2 15x8. the tires I want are the mickey Thompson's atz 33x12.50r15. I want to stay with 15s because of price really it is a 70 dollar jump per wheel.

The question is how much will I have to cut for the 3 5/8 inch back space for this wheel and tire package.

Late night math, but won't you have a stick out of like 4"?

BS
5.5 - (~3.5) = 2

Tire Thickness
10 - 12.5 = 2.5

Combined
2.5 + 2 = 4.5"

Usually guys with 33's have at least a PML and the 2" BL.You might have to trim alot of metal behind the rear front tire.

that spacer would make them stick out an inch further making it 2" back spacing, basically the smaller the back spacing the further the wheel moves out... sure it looks cool but the problem is that it catches the fender when turning...

That's what I was afraid of. I don't mind trimming the fender some like the plastic and very little metal.

Put it this way, I have a PML and a 2 inch BL. I kept the stock rims with 4.5" BS and put 33X12.50 R15 tires on them. I didn't trim any metal but the plastic had to be completly cut out of the way of the metal under it to keep from catching and possibly ripping the plastic off. In my case, any less back spacing and I would have to cut metal. With the front wheel fully stuffed (as far as I could get it) and the wheel turned (as close to the rear of the wheel well as possible) I only have about 1/8" between tire and metal. I'm sure If there were stress on the control arm bushings it would make contact, and that is as far as I wanted to push it without trimming metal. Also, I still have to adjust my bump stops because the tires make contact with the frame behind the control arms. Hope this helps you out.

Just a little heads up.......

Very nice choice for rims. Those were my choice until I went to buy them. You may want to read some reviews first. I didn't actually read reviews but was told by my tire/wheel supplier to stay away from them. I guess they have had several cases of them coming apart. If your going to wheel this may become a problem for you.
I was really disappointed. :confused::confused:
