Back up cams and tinted windows

Has anyone ever mounted a backup camera inside the back window? Does the tint interfere, particularly at night? I'm loath to drill a hole in the hatch to mount a fluch mount camera and my license plate is off-center due to an aftermarket bumper, so I really don't want a license plate mounted cam.

I was thinking of mounting one of these inside the back glass, screwed or adhered to the top of the inner plastic hatch liner:

I'm in the same dilemma. I have a camera that requires drill through mounting. And I haven't yet found a good place for it.

Luckily, I have a composite test monitor. So I can connect the camera to that and test lots of different locations until I find one that works. My main thing is that I want to be able to see the spare tire since that is the longest part of the truck.

I have mine mounted inside in the upper right corner, out of the way of the spare tire. The tint doesn't have any effect during the day and as long as my backup lights are on I can see fine at night.

Exactly what I was hoping to here. Thanks.
