Back up wire

Hi all,
Im wiring a back up camera. I guess I'm looking for the back up lights wire, then ill tap into it and run it to to positive for the monitor and camera and they will turn on when I put the x into reverse.

Does this sound right? Can you tell me where to find the back up wire?

Do any of you all have backup camera installed, where did you put your monitor?

Is there a thread for wiring the camera . meaning the best route for the wire from the camera to the dashboard?
