Blew up my front end

So this weekend we went to BMRA in Gilmer, Tx. We were planning to wheel for two days, needless to say after only about 6 hours of wheeling the first day we were doing a class 4 trail with a staircase of ledges and two steps from the top I blew my driver side CV and it took out my front differential. On top of that I backed into a ghost tree that came out of nowhere and shattered my back glass... For the second time.

Yea, I was pissed at first. Then started thinking about all the crap I can upgrade... TS, front locker, cromo axles, gears.... So Im better with it now.
I'm am tired of shattering the back window, so I'm going to a glass shop and going to have a piece of Lexan cut to fit. Hopefully after that I'll do my rear side windows, it'll surly loose some weight and it'll look cool with windows that are screwed in all the way around.

Yes, the 1st time I was showing off and climbed a 6' dirt ledge and I had to hit it with some speed, the force of the hit shattered it.

I'll check it out, but theres not alot in Texas that's illegal vehicle wise, as long as its not too loud and you have all lights and ect...

That was easy. Lexan is legal in Texas for automotive windows, sounds like the biggest down fall to them is they scratch easy. So I'll just silicone seal mine and screw them down to make them easier to replace.

Ghost tree's suck. Ghost rocks also suck. Like others mentioned. It sounded fun right up until the destruction. If your front diff is blown will you be replacing the IFS or using it as an excuse to SAS it up? I think Midget has Lexan or acrylic back windows, too. Same thing happened to his X.

I'll keep the IFS, I think a SAS would be cheating, plus it's funny to see the faces of Jeep people when a IFS rig can keep up with there jeeps. Lol

Well I jumped the gun when I said that Lexan was a legal alternative to glass on the street. After further research and talking to some glass shops, and the local DPS station. They were kind enough to tell me that it wasn't legitimate.... But I'm going todo it anyway, what's the fun in being legal anyway.
Should I get pulled over, I'll throw out the law enforcement card and hope it gets me out of a bind. Lol

I'm not mad at you. Lol. I was just mad that it happened so early into the weekend, why couldn't it have happened while we were loading it on the trailer to come back home.

The park is great! I love that place, and as soon as I get the Xterra up and running I plan to go back to that trail and beat the hell out of it again.

Titan diff has arrived and the 3 Pathfinder CV's will be here Tuesday along with all the new hardware. I figured since I was going through such a hat time with the Xterra being down and all, I should probably get myself a little treat... So I got a BullyDog tuner which should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. The fat girl should be able to love down the road with a bit more pep after lower gears and a tuner.
