I have a set of Raybestos on mine and I love them, I will be replacing the rotors in the near future though.

I will bump this very old thread. Since going to 35's I need to upgrade brakes. Just seems to be a safety concern in my head.

I'm wondering the following information.

Brake Pads:
Rotors:
Rating (1-10):
Where you got them:

I put on some Duralast Gold Cmax last year. Very little dust, no squealing, Stops great especially last week when some asshat pulled out in front of me. Came about 2" from getting a new frontend.

It really doesn't apply to you guys out west with your desert wheeling, but over here in the mud and muck that we wheel in, I'd say away from drilled rotors. Slotted, sure. But to me, drilled rotors give a place for mud and grab to get into the brakes and mess with your pads.

I just installed Some Powerstop drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads. So far they are performing really well. We will see how they do after I run Mojave in a couple weeks, I plan on putting them through thew ringer!

This is why I bumped this thread. I saw these and I'm highly considering them I just don't know anyone who has used them for a while. Also wanted to see what else was out there. 35's offer a lot of unsprung force to stop. Not to mention all the weight I carry in the back which can be seen in recent pictures.

I never thought about this. But it does make sense. I try to stay away from mud but lets be honest its hard to wheel anywhere that does not have any unless your in sand.

OK metz, post mojave review..
So you know I ran the whole mojave Rd approx 130 miles with the "fast groupe"... Speeds were anywhere from 20 to 60 mph through the desert... Tons of hard braking!.. Lots of dust so I was. Constantly on and off the brakes the whole time. Also, Temps were in the high 80 to low 90s all weekend. I didn't notice any brake fade at all with the brakes. There were a number of unexpected stopped that had me sliding to a stop a couple feet from the guy in front of me (it was crazy dusty). I am extremely happy with the performance of the brakes. The powerstop come with full ceramic pads and ate totally silent.. Before and after the run. As for guys that wheel in more mud and in a different environment... Check with Joey parent. He has the big blue X and is running 35s.he just recently installed a. Full set of the powerstop brakes.. Pads and rotors. He lives on the east coast.. Lots Of mud, snow salt and crap!.. He can give you a review on how he is liking them. Also, npgtech is putting a full set on for Moab, May want to ask him how he likes them after GONE...
Hope that helps.

reviving this thread to give a tidbit of info, poweristop also offers rotors that are not drilled and slotted, but are the same material, with the ceramic pads.
