Ah, nope not me!

Maybe this? I'm not sure of his name or where he's from but I know he's around Moab a lot.

Finally got rid of the workstation that was the back of the X. Took my time to reorganize and weed out some stuff as well.

The compressor tucked away all nicely.

Very nice just wondering if you ever considered mounting your compressor up front and running your airline to the back? That's what I'm looking at right now becaus I don't want anything in the back so here is room to sleep on long trips.

Yeah I did consider it, I just didn't know where to mount it. Especially since I already have the ARB compressor in the engine bay for the locker.
I was looking at mounting a plate to the bumper mounts and installing the compressor between the grill and radiator

I have the little ARB compressor that came free with the rear locker. With plans to add an ARB front locker as well (eventually) I wanted to keep it just for airing up the lockers.. and since a deal came up locally to buy the whole Viair kit used I didn't wanna pass it up.

But.... Why? The Viair can run everything perfectly. I don't see the reason to leave the ARB. Disconnect and sell.

Hmm.. haven't really thought about selling the ARB.. so would I have to keep air in my tank to want to activate the locker?

Idea love to do dual compressors and dual tanks then plumbed all together for faster air ups

Not a terrible idea.. if I could find another place for a tank haha

No. T off the Viair before it goes to the tank and run it to the locker solenoid.

Ah ha.. another question: when the locker is engaged, does it constantly need air or only just once to engage it? I was thinking a slight, but constant need for air. If so, couldn't that cause my compressor to overwork since it's only a 33% duty?

It shouldn't. The only reason it would need constant air is if there is a leak somewhere between the axle and the solenoid. Once it takes its 80lbs and the solenoid closes, it maintains that pressure. However. Even if there is a small leak and the compressor has to "top up" the pressure every once in a while, it certainly won't be overworking your compressor.

Hmm.. that's definitely something to consider.

I was going to mount 2 of the 2.5 gal tanks side by side where the spare whent after removing bits that the tire hits under the truck

Good luck! I barely had enough room for my 2.5 gal there.

I'm mulling around the idea of relocating the evap canister under the boddy and putting the tank there

I thought about it but couldn't justify the work.

After 16 years of faithful service, it was time to retire the positive battery terminal. Had one of these marine terminals and it worked perfectly. Just had to slightly drill out all 4 attachments I had going to the stud since the new one was just a little bigger. It's solid now!
