I agree. If it's a car, I like the white/gunmetal look; it gives it some class.

My first car was a 2001 Audi a4 turbo and I had gunmetal wheels on it..It was a heck of a first car!

Casey, when fall comes around and it cools off some I'm coming up your way to do a little mountain run. I better run into you and the Volvo somewhere.

The picture doesn't do it justice for how bright these things are. I'm very impressed.

And I finally got around to fixing my sunroof leak. It's a common problem in these things. Usually the drain tube isn't quite long enough and it will work its way out. That's what happened in my case. But it's fixed now!

If you're thinking, "he's missing a bulb over there! What's going on?" I'm actually not. It's a weird Volvo thing. That same spot on the driver side is the "rear fog light bulb." Basically, giving you a brighter light in dense fog.

BUT, Volvo just wanted it on the driver side. Not the passenger. It's even got a little plastic piece covering the hole where the bulb would/should go through. I put the old reverse bulb in there and turned it on... Nothing. One of those weird Volvo things!

You'll need load resistors for every bulb circuit in that car. The computer monitors the resistance of every exterior bulb to warn you when they're out.

I figured as much. That sounds pretty tedious. Would it be easier to completely disable the bulb failure warning system or is that even more involved?

What's on the road map for this thing? I haven't seen much volvo performance gear out there.

http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?209177-Considering-an-S40-or-V50-Just-buy-one-START-HERE!

This helped me out a bunch. Down on the list is places to find stuff. I've mainly been lurking around on Viva and Elevate.

I'm not wanting to get too crazy with it haha it's pretty fast for me. I'm sure that'll change. Mainly the basic things and a few suspension stiffening mods.

So I took this later that night and completely forgot to post it. Whoops. Here it is! Super bright! Another satisfied purchase from JDM Astar.

Niiiiiice!

Looks awesome. A Volvo I can actually say I like.

And its hard to make me say that for a car.

Thanks guys! I love that newer V70R. For some reason, I'm not a big fan most of the older Volvos. The new ones look great, imo. Swedespeed is a pretty cool site. I do a lot of creeping, not much posting haha

So you're finished modding the truck and this is the next project?

Not necessarily. Maybe for now. I'm just wanting to do a few things to the Volvo to get it where I want it. Then just drive it. Then back to more for the Xterra. That's the tentative plan anyway. Most of the stuff I want to do to the X are big ticket items so it'll take time.
