Comments: So since I decided to start posting again I figured lets start with a clean thread. Now for those of you on the other Xterra forums, although the picture may be the same at first but I will try to mix it up and put different pictures on each forum along with talking about different things so it's not a copy and paste!

For those wondering about my other Xterra's I will post some links up later, this is my 4th Xterra and was not planned. I traded my last Xterra after finding about $5k plus of repairs that needed to be fixed after a recent Moab trip. It was not planned, but I went to the dealership and asked about replacing the clutch but then I spotted this 2012 Green Xterra, switching to automatic is exactly what I wanted too! I was tired of the manual.

Should be a great thread to follow. I could see the pic of your new X yesterday, but today it is just the little broken image square. I am on a regular computer, not mobile. Just an FYI.

EDIT: Sorry, it looks like photobucket when down, or is being blocked somehow. Carry on.

Alright guys here you go... keep you waiting and no Ghost doesn't like that my computer only has 4GB of ram.

So I am going to hold off for a little updating my first post until I get to mods I have done. So 04/27/2013 went out with my dad for the first run to the desert! The trip was a quick one but just headed out to the West Desert to get some pictures of dad doing 100 mph's in his Ford Raptor (more on that later).
014.jpg

We were trying to make good time to get to the Weiss Highway (a dirt highway in the desert) before sunset but we stopped at a nice grassy field. And yes I know lots of green out here!
131.jpg

So what happens when a raptor flies past you on a dirt road? This... Yes I am in a dust cloud with my nice expensive camera :p
175.jpg

After getting the pictures I wanted, my dad jumped in my X and floored it! He was surprised and even to this day says that the X has much pick up as his Raptor and feels just as smooth. Clearly that's not true but the Raptor actually does not have that much pick up, UNLESS you put in offroad mode as for the smooth ride he was hitting washboard not jumps.
308.jpg

After the sunset we took a moment to stop at Simpson Springs to do some night photography, I decided to show my dad how to light paint and actually got this believe it or not!
Background1.jpg

^ please guys if you share this please give credit where it's due I am copyrighting this pic

Ill post up some more pictures from this trip and a few of the raptor as I am sure some of you guys will want to see that. (It's an Xterra forum but we all enjoy a truck built for offroading)

Sorry I haven't posted, it's been crunch time for goneMOAB stuff and I am working hard on the T-Shirt design right now.... But anyways I did take a quick moment today to install a snow shovel on the side of my interior rack. Ill get some pictures of it and get some new post going tomorrow when I have a moment. Still planning on selling the interior rack but not until I start work on my new design.

Alright after being sick with pneumonia for a week and half then losing my hard drive and a ton of my goneMOAB projects... I gotta get some updates! This time though I will talk about a few of my recent mods.

First off washed my X for the first time in a month!
Xterra-004.jpg

So a couple of months ago I picked up 2x spare Pro4x Rims... I am going to get them powder coated black (not sure yet if flat black or semi gloss) Yes that does mean I have a total of 6 now so I may sell one after I get 5 of them powdercoated and mounted with new tires. Planning on going with some Goodyear MTR's but I am waiting until I get my tax return :p
Xterra-002.jpg

And well I have been waiting to get my lift prepared, several months ago I got from my good friend Justin at Fat Bob's Garage some Radflo 2.5's I am going for a titan swap but still collecting parts
Xterra-036.jpg

For Christmas Santa brought me a new set of Rough Country Titan Control Arms
Xterra-041.jpg

If you didn't spot it before I have some other mods that I have had for a little while 30" Aurora LED light bar from Dark Hour Adventure Lighting, this thing is awesome!!! I highly recommend Aurora over Rigid (sorry to you fanboys) but we compared a 40" Rigid and a 30" LED and it was twice brightness! But even better we got my dad a 40" Aurora but he decided he really wants a a new radius bar so he said he would sell me his 40" and I may keep my 30" or might sell it I am not sure yet.
Xterra-019.jpg

Have to represent my local club :p United Nissan Off-Road
Xterra-006.jpg

Also for christmas, my parents wanted me to get some sliders before I headed to Moab in October. I got some White Knuckle Sliders but they actually didn't show up until the day I left for Moab...
Xterra-011.jpg

I did get them fully plated!
Xterra-012.jpg

I lost the pictures when my HDD crashed but I did also get a BTF Diff Cover for my Birthday
Xterra-026.jpg

I did finish (well almost) my set of Skidplates.... (again lost my pics with the HDD crash) I still do need a radiator skid but I am waiting for my bumper
Xterra-029.jpg

Also incase you didn't know I do have an Aluminum Skidplate for my gas tank (Ill try to find another picture of it from when I had it up on the lift)
Xterra-032.jpg

My last mod is a custom mount for my phone (I can listen to pandora or use GPS)
Xterra-022.jpg

Another view (probably my favorite of the mods!)
Xterra-024.jpg

Ill have some new pics and post for you guys soon! :D

Macland it is a Samsung mount specifically for the the Samsung Infuse but I have heard of people fitting it with the Samsung Galaxy series with a little modification. I built a bracket to re-enforce the back and added some additional supports for when offroading so it wont wobble. Bill I had promised someone that I would run top of the world on tuesday I thought you guys might sign up for the friday so I volunteered to lead it. But then I saw your message and if you guys are running on tuesday I will back out of friday because I really want to do fins on friday. And Stevin your right I already am! you should see what I have planned ;)

Alright lets get back to some more mods... I have had this aluminum mesh for a year and half now with the intent to put it on my last xterra but never did.... So I finally got around to replacing my grill :p
Grille-1.jpg~original

It's a staggered hole mesh, I did a lot shopping trying to find the right size holes, didn't want too big nor too small also tried to find something thicker so it wouldn't just cave in if something bumped the grille. I ended up spending $40 bucks for it surprisingly from amazon.com!
Grille-2.jpg~original

I took my time cutting out the black part of my grille and figuring out my pattern for the mesh
Grille-3.jpg~original

Once marked, I began cutting... I originally started with my dad's band saw but the blade was the perfect length to get stuck in the holes so I ended up using a hacksaw and a jigsaw, just had to clamp it down or use the vice. I also had to be careful not to push too hard for fear of bending it.
Grille-4.jpg~original

Once cut I made my bends for each tab and did some fine tuning, I used a small screw which will later be replaced with a large rounded head screw. On the back, not pictured is a large fender washer that really secures it.
Grille-5.jpg~original

I didn't want to put the silver face of the grill back on yet, I am planning on getting the mesh powder coated semi gloss black and plus getting that silver face off is super hard work!
Grille-8.jpg~original

I will also paint the silver face of the grill with a matte black plastic paint that I bought especially for this. So it should be black on black. The goal will to be turn the rest of the plastic black, or get rid of most of it :p
Grille-7.jpg~original

I still have to work on the smaller sides which may be tougher because there are two of the main supports right behind them, Ill try to get some more pictures next time I work on this. But I might cut off the supports and fashion something else up.
Grille-9.jpg~original

Also no pictures of it but I got some awesome adjustable shackles from Fat Bob's Garage! I forgot to bring them to the shop with me so I will have to get some pictures next week but they look really nice and clean. And I ordered a hood blackout vinyl so that should be on it's way. Also hoping to get the titan swap dont next month with new tires, my good friend has made me an offer I simply can't refuse but Ill keep that under wraps right now :p I don't want to give too much away ;) Just need some more money and with school starting this week I am going to have to get that paid for first.

Looks good man, thinking maybe I should steal this idea, my factory grill insert is looking a bit shabby. Nice job

Alright got a few seconds today and installed my new Hood Matte Black Graphic, I hope when I get the grille done and paint the plastic and replace the bumper it will really tie the color scheme together!

Before...
Hood-2.jpg~original

... After
Hood-3.jpg~original

Vhigg's design is awesome this is the 5 year the cheaper of the products but still great material and my dad was shocked that this little creases and crinkles showing when I got it wouldn't come out but they did!
Hood-1.jpg~original

I also made a quick little time lapse clip of it! I only added music so it wasn't so boring.
