finally got around to my super secret mod - Inclinometer from JDM pathfinder

I've been sourcing parts for this for over 3 years. There's one other person who's done it over on TNX, and he no longer posts regularly. there's one thread there regarding it.

here's a teaser.

It's an inclinometer from an old JDM nissan pathfinder/terrano.

they pop up on ebay from time to time. I got this one for about $70 a couple of years ago.

the pics suck because it's bright outside. and it's tough to get a pic of it without glare on the glass. it turned out really good. I just need to wire up the leds I put inside of it so it illuminates with the rest of the dash.

it matches the gray dash on the sides pretty well. Not perfect, but close enough.

You know what you should do, is paint over, or somehow take out the picture of the vehicle in there, and get a sticker from creepy of a gen 2. A side view and a rear view. That way it would blend in more. :)

Pretty cool...thought maybe it was a HUD or screen for back up camera.

Nicely done.

If its anything like a plane, you need to set the barometric pressure to get the correct altitude. I can't tell from the pictures.

Not sent with the stupid auto guide app

Oooo I like that. Once you get it all set up, let us know how it was done. I've been thinking of something like that for a while now and am so glad someone has actually done it.

Would you be willing to put together your list of parts that are needed and a quick how-to? Right now I'm using a phone mount and the Roll-Me-Over, which does OK, but the accelerometer gets confused by bumps and thinks it is sideways.
