Fronterra race truck build

Hey guys. I know I have been talking about it a long time but the Fronterra is finally under the knife and getting torn apart.

I removed the interior a couple months ago and dropped off at a friends place to get some cage work done. Well that fabricator fell through and I decided it was time to step up and work with someone that has built Nissans before. Enter Btf-fab.com. Brandon was pumped to get on board and help build this truck to race! So the plan is to build the truck according to Best in the desert class 7100 (same class as yellow race truck).



I will try and update here as we go. The preliminary plan is to run a BTF 5" over race kit on the truck. The clad also requires leaf springs strapped at 18" travel so we will be chopping holes in the back and cage/suspension will be all back there. We are in the early stages now but the plan is for the truck to be done and race ready by the end of the year. That's super tentative and budget will be part of the issue. So please. A little more progress this week. We are down to the skins and ready to cut and weld. Door panels and everything else is pulled.

Update
Got some of the cage laid in the drivers and passenger area.

Also picked up a Titan width Currie 9" for it. Will be slipping that in once we get the springs.

Also just ordered 18" Radflo triple bypass for the back end as well. Ps. This thing is getting expensive!!

Well, it's been a while now and progress has been made but not the exciting photo kind. Sourcing parts and ordering custom stuff always takes forever. Just started to get some parts in. Fuel cell, and now rear shocks. When they came in I almost lost my sauce!! RADFLO, 3.0 quad bypass 18"stroke.

Looks like next week we will get some more actual fab work on the truck done. Front spindles and control arms are being laser cut this week as well. Hopefully more pics late next week.

Unfortunately no pics for this update. But we got some more parts ordered. Basically want to get most of our stuff in before we get to far ahead on fab. Front shocks are ordered.
2.5" 10" radflo coilover with dual spring rate 500-700 lb springs.
3.0" 10" radflo triple bypass shocks

Also, looks like our alcans should be done in the next week or so.

A couple photos from my trip to the shop yesterday. Not a lot to report. Rear Alcan leaf pack just shipped out and should be ready to mock up in a couple days. Once the leafs are in there should be lots of update pics because that's one of the last pieces of the puzzle for the rear.

New fuel cell is here.

Hey guys. Not much update but I visited BTF-fabrication yesterday and took my good camera so I thought I would share some better pics with you. Also, some other info for you. I've decided to go back to the Xterra grill, fiberglass fenders and headlights. After looking through old pics I really liked those more and so no more Fronterra. The funds got a little tight for a while so the truck had been basically sitting since last update. However, we got some funds flowing and in the next couple weeks the rear end should get put in as well as new leaf packs, shackles and shocks. I.e The goodies.
