They are good horse trading parts... getting harder to find. I haven't been doing it much lately, but I do build an occasional custom width axle that ends up in local folks rigs.

One is setting in the driveway for Casper, another on is getting stuck underneath a Pathy by a third party, and one more is getting put under a friends 88 Pathy.

They are from eBay. Not sure what you need to hear? They work, haven't cracked yet, and are not yellow like the old ones.

That axle is going under my 7 1/2 foot flatbed "Toy"-hauler.... that is about 1/2 done.

Hard to be an OEM 4.90 geared, limited slip, axle for 100 bucks...

What do you have clamped under the carrier bearing caps? Is that the inspection device you told me about a few months ago? Or is it just a welding fixture?

It is an alignment rod... keeps the axle straight as you weld it together. I may have 10K in axle building tools around the garage... :d

It is almost a complete redo... could post a whole new thread on the mods that have happened in the last six months.

Made a new custom width axles using some of the parts laying in the axle pile.

Front:
OX locker (converted to air)
HP44 From 77 Ford
5.38 r&p
8 Lug outers from 78 F250 (Big Brakes)
Custom width RCV Shafts (new)
3 1/2 inch tubes put it all together.

Rear:
35 spline OX locker (new, air)
5.38 Jeep JK rear r&p (new)
99 Rodeo HD Dana 44 housing (ends cut off)
E350 Ford van full floater spindles/outers/two piston calipers
35 spline full floater chromo shafts. (new)

The wheels are the old 17 inch set from my Duramax.
The tires are 37x13.50r17 Gladiator XComps. (EBAY)

The rig needed 1 inch of lift to fit the bigger tires. So when I cut out all the new axle brackets, I changed them to mount 1 inch higher on the axles.
The rear shocks are mounted a bit different. (1 1/2 inch longer shocks)

Same hood... made to fit Frontier headlights.
Grill is from 2004 Navara
