Sorry brothers and sisters, I am new. I don't mean no disrespect . I brought a 2000 xterra se and the previous owner took the radio and the wires are the only thing left. Please does anyone know the color codes for those wires. Please respond. Thanks

Good luck. When I bought mine I had to look them up and found the wrong color code. I ended up hooking my ground to the power antenna connection. Now my radio hums with the RPMs. Be patient and you may be better off taking to a car audio place that way if they screw it up its on them.

I dont know auto wiring color codes seem to be such a huge secret but they are!

I got for 2001, I think they are the same:

Radio

Harness #1

+12V.....Red/yellow (R/Y)

ACC/ACCESSORY......Green/red (G/R)

Dimmer +.....Blue/red (L/R)

Dimmer -.....Pink/Black (P/B)

Front Left -.....Black/white (B/W)

Front Left +.....Blue (L)

Front Right -.....Black/red (B/R)

Front Right +.....Brown (BR)

Harness #2

Right Rear -.....Black/pink (B/P)

Right Rear +.....Orange (OR)

Left Rear -.....Black/yellow (B/Y)

Left Rear +.....Green (LG)

Nissan wire color code:
B = Black
W = White
R = Red
G = Green
L = Blue
Y = Yellow
LG = Light Green
BR = Brown
OR = Orange
P = Pink
PU = Purple
GY = Gray
SB = Sky Blue
CH = Dark Brown
DG = Dark Green
When the wire color is striped, the base color is given first, followed by the stripe color.
Example: L/W = Blue with White Stripe

I just checked the FSM for the 2000 and it shows the same.

If ya want you can access and download the FSM that includes the "Wiring Diagram-Audio-" for your truck HERE.

Also, I have the wiring directions from Crutchfield that line it all out as well. I can email them if this doesnt work.

Nice! Not for nothing, Crutchfield is the best. I never and will never buy car audio from anyone else. Their customer is unequaled.
100%. And to be fair, your FSM idea is likely best for him, but since I love crutchfield so much, I felt compelled to reply. Hahah
