I'm trying to decide on a winch to buy and after reading the mind melting post in the Gen 1 thread I wanna make sure I have all my info. However, either I can't find the info or google just hates me which is usually the case. I'm currently looking at the Smittybilt X20 10 Comp and the Warn VR 10000. If somebody could help me out with the actual operating info on these it would be greatly appreciated.

What type of info do you need? They all operate the same way.. I went with a smitybilt water proof 8k winch..
I wanted mine to endure the wet weather..

Yeah I saw you had went with that one thats what got me looking at them in the first place. I was trying to find the duty cycle and the fpm @ weight. The Warn site has the fpm for it but thats it and couldn't find the anything for the Smitty.

I have not been able to get duty cycle info though....I even emailed them, and they just would not give it, not sure why.

TJ you rock I spent almost 45 mins trying to find that yesterday, after you melted my brain in the Gen 1 forum.

I was loking at WARN to but after the ENGO review by pertersons 4wd magazine (might have been another mag) i decied to go with the ENGO 9000, its much cheaper and didnt burn out like the Warn.
