Optima Yellow Top Questions.

welp, its about that time to start thinking about replacing my battery .after doing some research I've chosen to go with an Optima yellow top; I'm done with lead acid. the questions i have for you all today is what CCA do i need and what should the dimensions be for the factory holder?

FYI - if for some reason your battery leads start coming out of the plastic, Optima won't cover the warranty on it. Ask me how I know...

I have a yellow top.....ive only killed it once and it was sitting for 2 weeks or more straight without be krunked.....

Just go to your local auto parts store and tell them you want a yellow top, it's probably a group 34 but they will know for sure. It's around 750 cranking amps if I remember right. If you want more cranking amps go with a red top. The yellow tops are good for high draw items like lots of lights or a winch.

I agree with Jbat. I work at Carquest and we can order them here. It may be a little more pricey than some places online but dealing with warranties will be much easier. Worth a shot.
