Depending on the shop your looking at anywhere between 1 and 2 hundred. There's a good amount of colors, so it won't be so simple. My wife does tattoos and she never charges shop prices so I could be wrong, it is a guess.

Alright. Could you have your wife look at it and see what she would charge? I'm guessing I could go for the outline first and then go back for the fill, so that I'm not spending so much at once.

Also, would the artist have to be licensed to replicate this Sailor Jerry original? I would like to be the guy that gets something unique and all; but I have loved the SJ old school art for as long as I can remember.

The wifey said she would charge around $90 but then again she is still an apprentice. Been tattooing for about a year and is still learning to do natural-looking shading. I don't believe he would need to be licensed to copy it, he is basically just re-drawing it, on a person. If he were to take the image and recreate it and try to sell it, then copyright applies. If you want it on your body he is merely providing a service to apply that image to skin.
