Just bought used 2002 X with a digital inside rear view window. First thing I noticed is that during the day or night the mirror is 2/3 black (on the bottom) and 1/3 clear ( on the top). It does show compass (N-S-E-W & temp). Removed the mirror, turned it upsidedown and the black "stuff" ozzes down to cover the clear area. I read that the mirror is supposed to turn dark when lights are detected and night coming up from the rear and suppose it goes clear when they pass you. I think this mirror is toast unless someone can tell me if I am doing something wrong. Help please!
