Rangerguru's Black Team Tribute

I just bought my 2012 Pro4-X at the end of December and I haven't had much time to do anything with it due to being in the armpit of the world. I'm not planning on building anything crazy, just something that I can drive on trips and take off road when I feel the urge.
I have been burning up the internet machine ordering parts and tools that I didn't have. So when I get home in less than three weeks, it's on. I'm expecting shipment on a new Smittybilt XRC 8 Synthetic Line Winch thanks to the fine people of 4 Wheel Parts. I have also ordered a Nisstec 2" lift with the help of Chris and the sweet discount code found here. I also threw in a Brute Force CAI for good measure. Maxterra has given me some really good pointers on building bumpers and I'm not one to ignore a guy that seems to know what he's doing, so mine will probably look a lot like his in the front, but I'm working on an idea for a rear tube bumper that will get rid of the giant pieces of plastic on the back corners. I really have to wait until I get home to see it in person to be sure it will work.
I also ordered a tube bender, dies and notcher from www.affordablebender.com. I have all the other tools that I'll need and a wife that welds probably better than I do, so we have a project.
If you're wondering what the Black Team Tribute thing is, that was our security team name in Iraq and the Punisher Skull was our logo, so Scott from Graveyard Graphics squared me away on some sweet custom decals for my hooptie. Here's the artwork:

I'm thinking about cutting a skull into the front of the bumper above the fairlead.

So far the only thing that I have modified on it is the front license plate, but it has to go soon. Here's what it's currently sporting:

Here's a couple of pictures of what it looks like now:

I'm looking forward to getting back to America and getting to work on this. I only have about 40 days at home and weekends are all booked, so it's going to be fast and furious in the man cave. If anybody's near west Georgia and works for beer, stop by. Any input on this will be greatly appreciated and maybe one day I can earn the coveted XN decal.

Here's the GPS and mount.

And here's the Xterra after the 2" Nisstec lift.

Started on the rear tube bumper yesterday. Here's the progress so far:

Finally finished the rear bumper and yes, I used bottle opener gussets for my trailer safety chains.

Dang, those sound like some amazing toys you ordered. *jealous* Wish I had a tube bender and whatnot.

Thanks for what you do and congrats on having an awesome X (regardless of # of mods). Welcome home soon! :)

After traveling for 46 straight hours, I made it home Friday night. Had some chow and a few drinks and went to bed. Got up Saturday morning and immediately started cleaning up the mancave to make room for the Xterra. I did get the CAI installed as well as the GPS and mount in the dash on Saturday. I knocked out building a welding table and installing the Nisstec 2" AAL/Coil spring spacer lift today. I did have to take a few breaks to play with the dogs and hydrate. It's hot as hell in Georgia right now. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Next week I'm building a tube bender and hydrauilc press and then it's bumper time.

===> Welcome Home, from an old Vietnam Recon Rat! Only a couple of my old team left, so my X is a testament to them, and the guys who never came home. For most, it's a fun hobby. To me, and I guess for you, it's personal in a lot of ways. These trucks embody our spirit of Adapt, Improvise, and Overcome!
