I think the South east Xterra group covers too big of a region and us floridains are looking to get our independence since we are truly the south east and are not going to drive 14 hours for a wheeling event. Perhaps change it to Tennessee Xterras unless you plan on having wheeling events in GA, FL, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and south Carolina.

I'd say each state is certainly welcome to have their own local events, however Southeast Xterra covers the Southeastern United States, not just the southern most continental state. We do indeed have rides in the states you mentioned. If there aren't enough rides or events mentioned near you, that's because there either aren't any, which I doubt, or whoever is organizing them isn't posting them in the seXTERRA forums. It's not likely that members from TN and KY would make the drive to Florida for a one day event either but you'd probably get some from Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina at least. I'd be willing to bet you'd get more people from Florida to show up too. If you prefer to keep it Florida only then perhaps starting a Florida Xterras group would be the way to go. It does seem like most seXTERRA events are happening in or near TN. That's because the TN members are more active on the seXTERRA forums. If people in other areas want to change that, it's up to them to let us know what's going on. So come on ALL seXTERRA members. Is there a ride, meeting or mod day coming up in your area? Let us know. We won't show up if we don't know it's happening.

I live in GA and feel ok with the way things are. I can understand the feelings of the Floridians, but all of these states are in the southeast and the southeast title fits. As far as independence, I am not sure what would be holding you back from starting your own group. It could even be the Orange State Chapter of seXTERRA. I think all of us in the group go out of our way to be welcoming to anyone. The goal is to bring like minded people together...not be uber exclusive. Soap box moment over....

Side note - there is no reason you can't start your own group...we have the VaXC and we are part of SEXterra.
As for having events places other than Tn, that's a national meetup, much like GoneMoab is also a national one, but it's mainly west coasters that go.

You can be a part of Sexterra and still have rides and what not in your neck of the woods. We cover the whole southeast and welcome everyone from those states.
Sadly you are mistaken.. We have a bunch of people drive up for WENTwindrock each year from FL.. South East Xterra is one of the hosts for that event.
Just because you are not willing to either help start up a base in your area for seXTERRA or feel the need to be apart of it is no reason to be rude...
Also FL did or does have a state wide club.. Maybe you should do like the VA crew did with VAXC and start it back up.

Dave is correct. There is a FL group that has some local gatherings. I don't believe they are all on here but there is a group on the book of face that they post up in. I'll see if I can find the name of it so you can check it out.
