FYI..my..spacebar..is..broken
so..this..summer..i..plan..on..making..a..snorkel..for..my..X.
I..know..just..about...everyone..who..has..one..runs..the..normal..ram..scoop..as..the..head.
but..lately..ive..been..doing..some..research..on..precleaners..mostly..the..two..links..i..have..here..are..the..ones..im..thinking..of..running

and..my..main..question..is..Will..highway..speeds..bogg..down..my..motor..if..i..have..those?

I don't know anything about how one of those would do at highway speeds. I've thought about using a K&N pre-filter wrap in very dusty conditions. When I used to race dirt bikes and ATVs I'd always use them if it was very dusty or muddy. I would think if I got one for a big enough cylindrical filter it would slip over the snorkel head just fine. I don't think it would be a good idea for highway speeds though.

I..forgot..the..normal..snorkel..scoops..have..those....Also..the..normal..scoop..heads..have..holes..in..the..back..of..the..neck..to..throw..out..rain..correct?

Yes they do. The top on mine is rounded forward so the opening faces downward more than most which reduces the chances of excessive rain getting in as well. I'd estimate the opening is at roughly a 45 degree angle to the airflow. The instructions that came with it say "Our testing has shown that when installed properly there is not a significant risk of water entry due to rain. If however you find yourself needing to drive in a monsoon you may turn the head 90 or 180 degrees to ease your mind."
