I've been looking at picking up a fixer upper project for early summer. CL searching has gotten me this Suzuki gs 1000.

Good: cheep, has title, and original key.
Bad, tire rot, rust, need new upholstery, missing fairing, starter turns but doesn't turn the crank, bug if you turn by hand, has compression. All wiring needs to be redone.

Pass this man. I have bit my lip many times with a bike in similar condition and for cheap. In the long run it will cost ya more than you wanted to even spend on it.

Unless money is no object and you just want something to tinker with.
