Alright some I getting ready to get new tires for the x. Been very happy with my cooper discoverer st maxxs. But am probably going to go back with a mud terrain since the truck no longer has dd duties

Current set up
265/75/16s
Pro comp wheels (16x8, 4.5 inch backspace, 0 offset)

I want to run 305/70/16 which is gonna put to trimming. I already have a 2 inch body lift. Plus calmini uca's up front. I have some concerns about trimming the fenders
1. Are y'all just pushing the fender liner back in place and securing it? Removing it all together? Something else?
2. I'm not sure my hands are steady enough to do the trimming lol... Probably would have a body shop do it

*im actual leaning towards the fiberglass fenders . Thoughts? Comments? Or should I just man up and cut on the truck?

If you don't need the extra width that the fiberglass provides then I would just trim your stock fenders. The fiberglass is expensive, doesn't really fit like it should (since hannemann is the only one making them they don't plan on rectifying this), and a PITA to get in a timely manner. I do like they way they look however and have much more room under them for large tires. However, I fear the day I smack one and crack it or spiderweb the paint.

Once I cut the fenders back to the tub I secured the fender liner with some self tapping screws at that corner. Then reattached the factory trim pieces that were also cut to hide the cuts.

@prime, you have any pictures of your trimming before the plastics went back on?

if I could still run the snorkel, I'd do the fiberglass fenders. I like the look. Though the way they bulge at the headlights is kinda strange.
