Hey guys. Sorry to bother everyone. And sorry if my post ends up somewhere that it shouldn't.
I need some help!
I have to change my Hubs. So I purchased the Warn hubs. But, I just don't understand the small a** instruction paper on installing them. And I really am not coming up with any help on the internet.
Is there anyone close to Montgomery County Pa. (20 miles West of Philly), that has swapped their hubs out for Warns, and know what they are doing?
I'm looking for someone to help me PLEASE! I'll owe you big time!
I don't know much, and learn as I go. Sorry for being such a newb!
THANX!!!

No need to apologize. We're here to help those that need it. While I can't personally come to you and help, is there anything I can verbally assist you with?

ThanX Bklyn. That's a bit of a drive. Lol.
Hey Prime, ThanX. What sucks is, I'm more of a hands on learning person. Books, BLAH! Lol
Ok, first, I never dealt with Hubs until this truck. And back in April, I had a buddy, (mechanic) help me with removing the front Hubs to change my Rotors. (he can no longer help). And the round plastic piece with the metal spring going around it was crushed. This is why I am switching them.
Now, what I'm stuck on is, I dont know how many pieces I remove from my Hubs, to install the new ones. As in, all the washers, the piece that was broken, etc.
And, the new Warn Hubs came with a big bag of parts, and a small a** piece of paper with a picture on it. Ughs. I thought I was just going to be able to pull and plug. I don't know what pieces in the bag I'm supposed to use. Lol.
I need more humans to post step by step instruction videos on online, for everything in life. Hahaha.
Hot mess over here, I know. lol. Ok, not so hot, but messy!! LOL!!

So if I remember correctly, the only thing you're not going to remove is the snap ring around the base of the splines that holds the axle shaft in there. I've rebuild the OE hubs a few times, but haven't seen the inside of the warns before. I imagine that once you get all the old stuff off, it kinda goes like Legos putting the new stuff back together.

If you're on the Facebook, look up the gpax group. There's plenty of folks near you. I've helped with putting warn hubs on my buddy's 1st gen, but I have a 2nd gen so your truck is magic as far as I'm concerned.

sent from a crawlspace...
