So I have been looking everywhere and can't find what i'm looking for in a reasonable price. Can someone help me.

I'm looking for either a metal, plastic, or fiberglass box with a hinged lid and latch that is at least water resistant. It needs to be at least 22"x 14"x 6" or slightly larger. I know there are a lot of creative people along with people in all types of industry here can anyone thing of anything that will work? This box will be mounted on the outside of my camper so UV safe is a plus.

X2 pelican cases. I have several that have been to war and back a few times... Quite literally. Things are a bit pricey but can take a hell of a beating. They make just about every size and shape you could want/need. Quite a few colors to choose from. I would be willing to bet that a LOT of military, paramilitary, EMS, Fire, rescue, research... Use them. There is a reason. Oh, and as long as you keep them somewhat taken care of, they float.

Oh and I should add. If you do go pelican, find a way to make them not walk off. They have a way of doing that. :-(

You could also go the ammo can route. They are everywhere, cheaper, and don't walk off as easily.

I also vote Pelican. My dad works in their manufacturing facility, as a result, I've got one Pelican case, he's got a few, and they're all totally BA.

The only thing I'd get before getting a Pelican is a Hardigg - if you can find them. Hardigg was bought out by Pelican a few years ago, and IMHO, Hardigg cases were superior to Pelican.

I was have looked at the pelican cases and I love them but I was hoping for a solution under $100 dollars. But as we stand right now a pelican is the cheapest route. I just can never find them used.... NEMA 3 enclosures I have found that would work are well into the $300+ range and just not worth it. I'm not worried about this walking off as it will be bolted to the side of my trailer I would like a few of them bolted on but unless I can find used one's it probably will not happen.

What kind of stuff is going in it? Action packer has a nice gasket in the lid, made by rubber maid and are pretty cheap. Is this something that you are going to bolt on the tongue.

Plano makes a storage locker a little bigger than the size you are looking for. It is about $40 and has the hinged lid you are looking for. It also has wheels on the bottom of one side so you can drag it around if you want. It doesnt have a seal, but i rhink it would do a decent job of keeping water out. You can find them at Academy Sports among other places.

Thanks all for these suggestions. Basically I will be mounting it on the side of my trailer in a vertical fashion. The object that will be going in it is 20" x 14" x 4.5". Kinda trying to keep it secret for now.
