Weird Smell

So my X here lately has been smelling weird when running. At first I thought it was where I had a PS leak and was burning on the motor so I didn't think nothing of it but now its still around and I can smell it sometimes when I run the air. I think its mainly coming from the passenger side of the car because you can really smell it if you sniff by the front right wheel. Im thinking possible cracked manifold or bad cat? idk what do you guys think?

Its a hard smell to describe. like it kinda smells like something is burning but it doesn't. It kinda smells like exhaust fumes but its a different smell for sure.

Edit-

Thought better: Run some Seafoam through your Evap port. That'll let you know if you have a cracked header.

I opened the hood and looked and didn't see any leak but that was right after I got the PS fixed so there still was fresh fluid. Another thing is it happened a few weeks or so after I had Nissan replace my knock sensor

By chance do you have a passenger side valve cover leak? It would be towards the back end of the valve cover closer to the fire wall

Okay guys looked under the hood and I forgot to mention before I had Nissan replace something with the air I forgot and anyways it seems to be leaking
this is the part im talking about

and the valve covers seem good there this spot but that might have been from the previous PS leak because that stuff was all over the place and its been raining and I have a ripped wheel well liner

The spot in the last pic is oil leaking from the valve cover. We all have it (some worse than others), or have had it at some point. Curse of the VG33.

I'd take it back to Nissan and let them look at that leak, since they recently replaced that hose.

In the last pic nothing is dripping or anything onto the stuff down below so didn't know if that was just build of other things and see now im in a bind because the dealership I took it to is now out of business and shut down because of bank problems so I sure the work is now voided and not covered anymore.

Where is this [Evap Port] located?

Evap port is on the Left side of the engine. In the pic, you'll see a blue connector attached to a valve with two hoses running off of it

One hose runs off toward the firewall and has the green Evap Test Port on it; the other hose runs to the intake manifold. Undo from the valve the hose running to the manifold and let the engine sip the Seafoam. The Brake Booster line is also acceptable, but this smaller line is more likely to get the Seafoam to all six cylinders.

the last pic is definitely valve cover leakage probably mixed with PS fluid from a leaky reservoir (repeated problem on our model)

I have already had the knock sensor replaced, the power steering, and some hoses that were said to be leaking which resulted in me having no AC but that new part is already leaking again....

I'm in this same boat. I took mine into the nissan dealership about a month ago and they said exactly that as above - bad leaking valve cover gasket and power steering. I've been looking up parts and prices off of Rock Auto this morning. Looks like the power steering hose would cost about $11, where the dealership was going to charge almost $200. Go figure though. And valve cover gaskets run about $8.62 for the pair (without grommets however).

Well my baby is at the dealership getting fixed. Yeah im sure I could of done it myself and saved a lot of money but when it comes to removing parts of the actual motor and exposing it to the elements Ill let the dealership take care of that. Plus if the mess up or parts go wrong they warranty parts and labor for 6 months to a year and fix it for free so wooooo! Although $550 isn't too woo but, it does replace both valve cover gaskets, balance my tires, all the other gaskets from all the intake or whatever they take off, labor, and saves me from a headache :p

Nice, sweet to hear that you got it fixed. How's the truck been doing so far? (since it's been a month so far)
