Remember with sign ups this year..
We are picking what group you are going to be with. Intermediate 1,2,3,4 and the same with difficult.

So if you are looking to ride with friends, be sure to post up what group you are signed up for.

I'm leading an Easy Trail ride. I don't think that's one if the choices to pick. I know it's on Friday. Not sure of the time yet. Saturday I will be intermediate. Thursday too. If I get there in time. If not I will take stragglers out on a few trails. Nothing major just seeing some of the park.

If somebody already had this thought let me know and we can coordinate or something. I probably won't make it at 8 on Thursday for the start of the trails. But I'll be there before 11 am. For sure.

i guess idk how the trails are? i am sure i don't want easy because i have seen easy and it seems 2WD is fine throughout all the easy stuff. i want a nice challenge for a stocker, chances of getting stuck and maybe some tight fits with driver skills needed or a good spotter. what does that sound like? intermediate?

Please read the following while holding a monocle and a pipe:

It appears that I have registered for Intermediate Group 2 for this year's event. Cheerio.

Intermediate trails are great for anyone, I have been to the park several times and and the intermediate trails always yield fun, they are wide so there are several lines to pick to you can make the trail as easy or as difficult as you want... Most can be done in 2wd.... If the conditions are dry..

Well now I am considering doing the difficult, hmm.

Question - trail rides take place Thursday and Friday right? Can you maybe do intermediate on Thursday and then difficult on Friday?
My bad if that make things more confusing or anything.

For difficult all it says is "Minimum requirements are 33â€￾ tires, recovery points, recovery gear and rock sliders".

Precisely, I guess Armor was a broad statement.

The reason we want you to have something on truck, i.e. protection, is that we don't want someone who doesn't really care about their truck, pushing it too far, breaking their rig, and then putting the leader in a bind with the rest of the group wanting to continue and a recovery/rebuild could be needed. We also don't want/like to leave a rig on the trails.

That being said, if you break something, we are absolutely willing to help repair to keep you guys rolling.

In looking at the trail level descriptions, it looks like the trails are variations of what would normally be a Green coded trail, with the hardest trails ("Difficult") being what would normally be considered a Blue coded trail. Some Blues typically also would require skid plates in addition to sliders, but not all. A Black would be the next step up, which would add a locker to the armor, etc....with some blacks needing 35's, but not all, and so forth.

So, if you've wheeled before and have 33's and sliders (Everyone should have recovery points and gear, regardless of level...), it sounds like you'd want to only do what they describe as "Difficult".

If built enough, but new to wheeling, or, experienced, but bone stock, the other trails sound like they'd be good for learning the ropes/keeping purdy.

Hopefully I'll be rocking 4x4 soon and I'll do the intermediate stuff. The chances of breaking stuff are much slimmer lol. I certainly have had bad enough luck with this dam X, I don't need to be pushing it. Only time will tell though

Windrock becomes a whole 'nother monster in the rain. Or so I've heard.

Yes, Ryan, I hope you make it again.........

I need recovery gear..........

Last year it rained, When the trails were just wet it added another level. But when everything was soaking wet every trail went to the next level of difficulty. So if you sign up for the difficult group and can do it with a little struggle dry. Once it starts raining it will be extremely difficult and chances of damage increase. Also this is where tires shine. MTs vs ATs Lets just say new MTs will be far better then any other mod in this situation.
