Lets see em!

I've got a Kenwood 945BT head unit:

Two audio sources: iPod (technically old iPhone 3G) and my Samsung Note in the Car Dock. I don't have an antenna, and terrestrial radio sucks. So I'm not missing anything.

Infinity 5350a 5-Channel Amp:

Infinity Reference X 6500cx 6.5" Component Speakers up front:

Infinity Reference X 9602ix 6x9s in the rear. No pictures, but I had to cut the body a little bit to fit them.

And I'm still sub shopping.....so that'll be the next thing.

Bought an X
I have an older Pioneer Avic Z3, added to the stock RF speakers/sub which sound amazingly good with this head unit. Maybe because it has a really good equalizer in it?

Yeah, that's something I was thinking about. Do a full avic unit with several cameras. The dvr is a nice touch. I'd like to see the work up on that

I have the AVIC X920BT. I guess I need to look into cameras. I was thinking of getting a backup camera anyway because I would never see a small child behind me. Front and pumpkin would be cool, too.

Do you have all the cameras wired up to the DVR and then single output to the AVIC? How do you select what camera to watch! What kind of DVR did you use? What kind of cameras?

/so many q's

The DVR can accept up to 4 cameras. So all the cameras wire up to the DVR. The rear camera also has a Y slitter to go to the head unit also for automatic backup camera. The DVR has 1 video output. You select how you want to view it with the DVR I can view all 4 at once, 1 at a time, or have it jump between them automatically at various selected time interval this is all done with a remote so I could not hid it where I could not see it (this is the biggest downfall). Everything turns on with the ignition power. The DVR does have constant power to maintain some awareness for security features that I have not at this time wired up. Some of the cameras have audio also which the DVR recieves and can also record. It can record any of the selected channels at any given time. It has a lot of features in it but it also has pretty bad translations instructions for it.

I used three different cameras just to see what the video quality was between them. I have not yet deteremined which one is my faverite. But the Pumpkin cam worked perfectly during practice setups. As soon as I rigged it up on the vehicle the camera started short circuiting almost creating a fire.

Very cool! I use DVRs all the time at work, but I didn't even know they made automotive ones. I'm going to have to contemplate that.

You know, if you wanted it out of sight you could use an IR repeater. The way you'd only have a little receiver bar somewhere in the cabin and the DVR could be hidden away with a little IR bug on it.

I don't think my speakers could handle the power that it could put out. Along with that look at that Hz range. I think I only hear between 500-2000hz so not for me. Like you would sell it anyways.
