This is meant to be a slightly different take on a tire thread... Simply put what do you have on your rig now, and will you buy them again? If not what will you go with next?

buy again: Not likely. a lot of people have had great experiences with the A/T's but I haven't. mine are E rated, so that could be why the ride isn't very pleasant, but they seem have worn quickly also. fairly good offroad, but I will be going to an M/T for my next tire in a 33 for sure.

if i had a strickly toy i would put these on them no problem, but for the amount i am driving to work, its not realistic. really good tire though, catch and throw mud, decent clean outs for mud and sand. regular road driving fairly well.

luke, with your tires, i completely agree i think they are the best tire out there. just not in sand i didnt have the best luck with sand with them

I have and will buy them again. My first set were 265/75-16 KM2s. They had just over 42,000 miles on them when we did my body lift and I wanted bigger tires. They still had quite usable tread. In fact since I got the new ones, the old ones have been on a daily driven 1976 Ram 150 and are now on a daily driven 2004 Ram 1500 and are still holding up pretty well.

Buy Again?: Probably not. While they are absolutely great on road, they are too mild for an off-roader. They do fine on dirt roads, gravel and fields, but don't expect them to have any insane bite in anything sloshy. They are fine in the snow, though. They also last forever.

Had: BFG AT KO's. Will probably not buy again. Crap off road, crap in the snow.

Had: GY Wrangler Duratracs. Great in the snow. So-so off road. Crap in wet off road situations. Tread wear decent. Probably will not purchase again but would possibly consider for a winter season dedicated tire and swap something else on in summer wheeling season.

Current: Nitto Trail Grapplers (M/T). Great on road manners and noise for an M/T. Good tread wear so far. Awesome off road. (Ask the guys with Duratracs who were slipping on wet rocks that I rolled right up). Snow/winter TBD. At this point I would say I will buy again but let me get at least 10k miles and a winter behind me.

buy again: I drive my truck a lot around town, but have another car that I drive about 50% of the time so I would jump on these again if I feel like spending that much on tires again. I have about 6,000 miles on them now and they show very little tread wear. What little wear there is, is from driving about 80 miles back home with the front out of alignment after bending a tie rod adjuster off road. It must be said that these things are loudish and it took discount tire 3 attempts to get my tires balanced properly. Not sure if tat is a tire issue due to the weight, or poor workmanship. They grip in mud and rock amazingly well, and I have aired them down to 12psi on about 100 miles worth of trail so far without issue.

I agree with Slas,
Now: I have Goodyear Duratrac's in 285/75/16's there great in dry conditions and even in snow there terrible in wet conditions we were running on Red Cone and Radical and ran through a couple of streams and I paid for it on the rocks that followed..

Next: I'll be buying Nitto Terra Grapplers M/T in 285/75/16 or possibly 35's if I get the re-gearing done..

So far I love these, they have great road manners and I drove almost all of the trails of NXM and Windrock in 2wd, they grip very well and also clean out well.
Very much worth the 600$ I paid for them. Snow and winter report to come later. I also don't have that many miles on them, so I will give a report on how long they last later.

Buy Again: I would probably buy them again, I have 20k on them and anyone who saw my tires at NXM3 would thing they were brand new. They are loud on the road but who cares. Since I have a gift cert for Mickey Thompson and Dick Cepek I'm going with something they offer. Have not decided what yet.

Would I buy again?: I would.. but I won't (makes sense right? haha ;)) Here's the reasoning..

I think they're a great tire for what they are.. kinda like a mud/all terrian hybrid. However, hopefully before I need tires again I will have a little car or something better on gas for a DD. Which means, I won't be driving it as much so I can justify putting mud terrains on there. If didn't have any intentions of getting another DD I would more than likely buy the Duratracs again.

The next set of tires I'm looking at are the Cooper STTs or, like Tucker, the Kendas. A buddy of mine is putting them on his hardbody so I'm interested to see how he likes them as well.

This is NTB's custom brand so far they have performed great in all conditions. They grip very well in all types of terrain. They clean out well. Definitely the best tire I've ever run, especially when you concider the price I paid for them. ($181/tire)
Buy again?: As long as they make this tire they weill be on my X...

Agreed....on both accounts. I had the BFG KO's on my Blazer before we sold it. I appreciate the aggressive look and the performance offroad and on. Pleasantly surprised by these tires.

Will I buy again? No, I want a set of 33" KM2s on 15s.

I would recommend the KOs though, as they are a great tire.

Will I buy again? YES! In a heartbeat.

The price was just right for me at the time. I have been wheeling with them for over 2 years and daily driving on them for the same amount of time. They have been wearing evenly and to be honest not all that fast either. I can most likely get another year to a year and a half out of them.

Would buy again? Yes. I don't have a lot of opportunities to wheel so for my 90% Street use they have been great and I have no complaints about the off road performance. I've got over 10k on them and the still look new.

I had MT/Rs in 32. I had the same balance issues. Those tires were epic off road but wouldn't balance or ride correctly on the street at all.

Firestone Destination M/T. Would I buy again...difficult question. I love the tire and it has never let me down, but priced higher than some similar tires. So by performance absolutely I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

265/75R16 BFG KM2 Range E Buy again, hell yes! These have been amazing! The only thing I'm considering is a set of the 285/75R16 guard dogs. Primarily of course, I'll probably go back to these since the GD's aren't that much cheaper.

So far I've been really happy with these tires.. they've worked good in the mud and rocks and they wear decent on the street. For a tire that's not the most aggressive they do really well!

My next set of tires is going to be some 34x10.5x15 LTBs though.. I've personally seen these tires get thru all kinds of terrain and I'm sold. My buddy is on his 4th set and can't find a better tire for what we wheel. Pretty soon the X will no longer be the DD so wear on the street on them won't be a problem

265/75/16 Cooper Discoverer St Maxx's...

As long as my x pulls some dd duties, itll be wearing a set of these. They've been great off-road, clean out nearly as well as my stts did. Slick rocks were no problem. And so far there wearing awesome. The ride on road is good too. Just a slight hum versus the roar of a mud-terrain.

*I'd love to put another set of mud-terrains on the truck but I drive it to much on the road to justify a set right now

Try someone that has Km2's I'd say even with 40K+ they're pleasantly quiet...

Just remember with any mud terrain tire, regular rotation is extremely important. I went over 12,000 miles without rotating my first set of KM2s. To make matters worse I had forgotten to get an alignment. When I finally remembered to rotate them they howled like crazy. They quietened down somewhat with wear but never were very quiet again and never wore evenly. That's not a fault of the tire however, just neglect. The fact I never went less than 10,000 miles between rotations and ran so long with the front out of alignment is just pure neglect on my part. I've been taking care of my second set and with almost 10,000 miles on them they're quiet and ride great.

No matter what tire you have, learn from my mistake. You'll be much happier.

I get a rotation with every alignment and I have the lifetime alignment thing with Firestone but I have to drive 40 miles to get to a Firestone that will honor it. The one that is close to me say they don't allow the lifetime alignment on trucks with aftermarket parts.......
