yet another hid thread, but a new question...

Okay, so here is the deal. I've got an 02, and I want projector lights (eventually I want HID but that's not important now). I remember back in the day of replacing the reflector with a projector housing and regular bulbs and or producing a good light. Looking online, I think I want the Morimoto housing and retrofit it (at least for now, but down the road maybe something else.)
Here's the question, can I also retrofit a different harness for a different bulb, since no one makes a projector housing for the 9007 bulb? Or did my Google-fu fail me yet again?
Mods, if this has been covered somewhere else, please merge this with that, or whatever.

I dont see why you COULDNT get a different harness, it'd just be alot of trouble finding and connecting the right lines.

If you want the Morimoto projectors, they require a D2S bulb (I think). The D2S is only available as a HID, not a halogen.

So, unfortunately, womp womp. If you go w/legit HID projectors they are going to require HID bulbs.

If your looking at the morimoto projectors. Yes the retro fit source offers a conversion harness so that it plugs into the factory 9007 wiring.

Yeah, looking at those. Actually, thanks to a tip from a client (gave me a $50 gift card to Amazon) I have those in my possession. Did some math, and decided to drop the money for them, now just waiting on Amazon to ship the rest of the components. Just wanted to throw out a big thank you to everyone that had helped with this, and not treating me like the idiot I can be (am?)

Only H1s will fit in the mini H1 projectors common on our vehicles I would doubt a non HID bulb would fit an HID projector

And the ones in my possession are those, and the hid kit coming in the male is the h1. I just was thinking with only half my brain engaged, it seems. For those that have the morimoto lights, how big are your projectors? These things are massive.

I have morimoto from TRS they are mini H1 projectors

I have the mini d2s projectors from TRS. They fit the 03-04 Headlamps with a little modification.

I'm sure you could buy the female end of the connector to use the 9004/9007 headlight plug you have and not chop into your factory wiring.

Blah blah blah. Problem solved. I had to cut and add length to my ground wire. Since this is now a junk thread (because it wasn't before?) Would a mod kindly close/delete this thread please?
