So instead of posting all my happenings in the PWT I've decided to start a build thread to keep it all together
This is actually my first import car and originally I purchased it to keep my baby
off the road in the winter. She's a 92 c1500 California truck with 243k and no rust.
I won the X at auction for $3100 off the block and $4500 after taxes title and registration. She is seemingly stock other than a head unit and I'm not certain but I think the speakers were upgraded because it sounds awesome.
Here she is the day I got her
And after a good detail
The weekend after I got it I drove from NY to VA then NC with zero issues and averaged 20mpg. Then once in NC my little brother and I messed around on his in laws farm
We painted the wheels black obviously lol
Then I had to go home. I left while VA was getting raped by a winter storm they weren't even remotely prepared for and I could t have been happier!
Gps told us 13 was closed up ahead and routed us onto unplowed roads. Us being me and my dog and the sorry son of a B in the rig
There was a van abandoned in the middle of the road stuck in a drift and the 18 wheeler tried to get around it ultimately sliding into a. Loan over ditch. I just drove around them both. It got so bad that I had to put it in 4LO at one point because I got hung up in a 3' deep snow drift on an in plowed road. Needless to say, I got through it and back onto 13 that wasn't closed and kinda plowed where I continued on my way at a high rate of speed passing everything including town cops and state cops.
On to the mods
Blacked out the headlights
So far not all too much has gotten done
You can find a how to in primes thread (I don't know how to do links so don't ask)
I also added an LED light bar to the bumper and it stall "factory" fog lights. I used a factory switch but got the lights on EBay and would recommend anyone without them to get them right now. The output is doubled.
And used it to pull apart a dyno I had to cut in half
I've started to buy little things here and there to get her ready for adventuring
Couldn't pass up on a matching ax!
I've also remover the rear anti sway bar and as they say, noticed absolutely no difference
And the big buy, a nisstech mk48 complete lift kit!!!!!!!
I will try my best to document that install but no promises there.
