I've a question. If I get these and the plate bumper in the group buy is the a way I could get them so they bolted together to make one solid piece?

(and do you guys have a count somewhere on how many sold in the group buys somewhere?)

You know I HATE to tell someone no. We make every effort not to have to do that. But this time I kind of have to. The problem solving side of me says this: We *could* make a set of corners that would structurally bolt to the frame/rear bumper. But that is just not this product. It would have to be completely re-engineered, the mounting completely changed and the materials would have to be way beefed up to resist the potential leverage of a force placed on them near the wheel well. Because they could no longer use the body as a mounting point, you would just have the bumper/frame. And doing that in steel would make them insanely heavy.

Since you were looking at a bumper as well we could make a bumper that had the side panels integrated in the appropriate material and welded on to the body of the bumper.

The very bottom of the very 1st post has a list, but I see its a little out of date. It's been quite the task keeping all the different GB threads across all the different forums synchronized. I will get that updated here in a few mins.

This looks pretty sweet.

I don't see any specs/how its mounted/braced, etc...or the weight?

Can you describe it in more detail for us tech junkies?

:D

List updated in 3rd post!

Things could swing pretty dramatically pretty quickly! We are 8 away from the 20 mark, but only including the people who are only committed at the 20 mark. We need 2 more firm commitments to get to the 10 mark then 6 only more after that to hit 20!

Got you added, and added the variants to the website for only 1 side cup holder.

This is like the face plate we have for a reverse light template.

Mac, where did you snag these ones? I've been looking but have only been able to the find the 3", 3x3.

that specific picutre was a google find. it seemed to match the faceplate that was provided to us for a template. But I believe the faceplate was for a 3x3.

Will go over all the forums when I'm back to a computer to do if any hint has changed since I've been traveling.

Last time I knew for sure is that we were at 8 confirmed with 1 confirmed. At the 10 level - so one more confirmation was needed to get to 10. Enter enter
Then five were confirmed only at the 20 level - some 6 total would get us to the 20 breakpoint.

The picture I posted was just for reference in terms of the style of flush mount we were building for. I just confirmed: Whether you have a 2x2 or a 2x3 when referring to the number of led's all the pods are 3" in size and the flush mount cover is the same.

3" 2x2

The info is not all there.

Are there specs on weight, and various metal thicknesses, etc?

The corner shells will be 14ga. The mounting brackets will be 1/8". We will have more details after this weekend when we go to get them cut.

Need 2 more for the next price drop!

These will be finished and delivered before the end of March.

Is the list accurate in the other post? Do we have a distinction between interest and those that have paid up the deposits?

I believe the first 8 are considered IN, everything after the gap is considered "interested" until the 20 level is reached.

We currently have 5 deposits.

Cup Holder and cut light.

You said no discount for bare metal?

It's not that there is no discount. It's that we are not up charging for powder coating during the group buy.

here are a couple people who want them Bare for a specific reason - like specific color matching - and we are always willing to oblige those requests.

But, by doing all the group buys at once and taking volume to our powder coater we are getting such a good deal on powder that we will pay him the same amount for just sliders and bumpers as we would to also do the corners. Instead of saying it's an extra $50-$70 for powder on these we are choosing to do what we always do with powder costing costs - pass it through at our cost without markup. In this case our cost is truly ~$0.

As we are nearing the close of this GB, I will get balance items up on the website by the end of the week.

The steel has been dropped off for production to begin.

We are going to buy out the remaining 4 spots necessary to get to the 20 level. That will give us a small inventory on the shelf after the group buy closes and now everyone will know exactly how much their total will be.

We have several deposits made but if anyone has not yet, please get those deposits in at your earliest convenience.

Thanks

Should be between 15-20 lbs per pair depending on exactly how much feud setting we end up doing.

2nd gens are a little bigger and 1st gens use some extra material for mounting so that should be accurate of both gens.

1st & 2nd Gen rear corner GROUP BUY!

Yeah, where are we at with this?

Woooo I'm excited. Production going well?

I totally just posted in the wrong thread.

My fault guys.

For corners we are waiting on parts back from the cutter. We are in process of making jigs.

Once we get the first sets back we will confirm our jigs produce good results, make any necessary changes and go full balls into production of these. The he plan for all this is over the next ~10-14 business days. We then have 2 weeks of production dedicated to corners. Then powder. We are shooting for fulfillment of everything by sometime between the end of the month and the middle of April.
