Lately I've been looking around at all the different things people change out on their X's from suspension parts to engine parts or just replacing worn down random parts. Either my google skills or sucking or they don't exist but I can't find much for the 2nd Gen. Most of the things I find are for the 1st Gen, so what websites does everybody use to get their parts or their ideas and then look for cheaper places.

can you be a little more specific in what youre looking for? Like headers, exhaust, IMS, CAI?
Nisstec has lot of the stuff out there for suspension,
prgproducts.com has some other stuff thats not just suspension, greg is hard to get a hold of but he will get back to you and help you with basically anything suspension related, he is also making short shifters as well.
HeftyFabworks and shrock both make armor.
ARB makes lockers and front bumpers.
OTRATTW.com makes awesome rocker switches that fit in the factory knockouts.
Volant makes CAI some people have problems with them some dont, (ive had mine in for about 500 miles and no problems)
I think that will cover most of it.
So Like I said earlier what are you looking for?

Well what really made me think about was xterror's thread about Bandit 4x4 bushings vs idler arms. Most people now the sites for the big items armor, suspensions stuff like that but I had A) never thought about changing the bushings or the idler arms B) never heard of Bandit 4x4.

We don't have idler arms on 2nd gens. The 2nd gen has rack and pinion steering whereas the 1st gen has a recirculating ball steering box. That's why you don't see upgraded steering parts for 2nd gens, other than heavy duty tie rod ends.
As far as suspension and other stuff, check out Nisstec, PRG, AutomotiveCustomizers, and Prerunner Parts.

Then there's Gobi, Xoskel, and Garvin.

And for armor, there's Hefty, Shrockworks, ARB and such, that we all already know about. I'm not even going to link those. Someone already mentioned B&M (Shout out to David!) and Rockauto.com. For replacement parts there's also Courtesyparts.com and NissanOnlineParts. The rest is mostly folks using universal stuff and adapting it to the X, or their own ingenuity to come up with stuff on their own.

Hope that helps a little!

If you're looking for genuine Nissan parts, nissanonlineparts.com cannot be beat. Brian is the man! He's honest with you, ships fast, and has great prices.

Everything else I use Rockauto.com for unless I absolutely need something that day or the next. If that's the case I'll use Advanced Auto and check their store inventories, then purchase online using the various coupons out there (most are 10% - 15% off), then I pick it up at the store.
