Any WV Xterra Owners Out There? Possible Club Creation for WV or Meetup?

Hey everyone,

Recently purchased an 02 Nissan Xterra SE 4x4 (Auto) - Been loving it.
Was researching if there are any Xterra Groups in the WV area or surrounding. I know there is the group NEXTerra, but I am newer to the Xterra/ Vehicle group thing and would be nice to have a WV area group meetup or something. Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone in WV or the surrounding areas who would be interested?

There's a few Xterra's roaming around the area.

I was one of like three that wheeled theirs that I knew of. Until I sold it.

If you happen to see the big green lifted 1st gen, That's my old Xterra.

I can't get away from Nissans so I'm building a Pathfinder now.

The Virginia Xterra Club is an active group on FB. I'm an Admin so you can join in there.

I don't know of any WV specific groups. Where in WV are you?

NEXTerra is mostly in the "New England" area. Even I'm a bit south for any meet up and some of the events. Events do happen in PA including the long running Annual East Coast Xterra Challenge at Rausch Creek/AOAA. Kinda a long drive but worth it if you can make it. July 11-13, 2024.
The "Northern Exposure 2024" is at Rausch in PA this Saturday, you'd be welcome to join if you want. Click here for info.

I've seen a few Xterra's around my area, but not a lot of them.

I'll have to keep an eye out for a Green Gen1 Xterra now. If I see it I'll try to snag a pic - Wonder which area it's located..hmmm.

Nice on the Pathfinder! Was going to buy one until I found my beauty.

Always been in the Ripley/ Ravenswood, WV area - Lived in Parkersburg for a while as well.
Just moved to New Haven (Close to Pt. Pleasant) a week ago. There is nothing in the area really; mostly moved to be closer to work.

I actually seen about NEXTerra! Looks like a rad group.
Sorry I missed that event - Would have been awesome to come up, but I was moving into my new house. That location is about 6.5hrs away, but would make a fun trip for sure. Are the trails rough? Not experienced doing much vehicle off-road action (Mostly would do ATV trails and rides) - Don't want to do much damage to my Xterra as it is my daily driver for right now until I get a new daily driver.

That’s what I do. My account has a fake name, zero friends, and I only use it for a couple groups and marketplace.

It used to be a bit more “rad” but over the years it has become a bit less. Fewer Supporting Members, fewer runs. It’s still more active compared to anything else I’ve seen around these days.

The Trails at Rausch are varied from I bit rougher than a dirt road you could easily run a stock vehicle on to extreme buggy type.

At The Northen eXposure Run and most NEXTerra events, including the Annual East Coast Xterra Challenge, trail leaders are provided for “Green Groups” (folks new to off-road) that will make sure you and your vehicle get through the trails safely while having a great time.

ECXC is the first off-road I attended back in the day and kinda got me hooked on this silly hobby.

You should try to attend, you’d meet a lot of great folks and be welcomed.
