I very respectfully told him that I would try and sell as is too, but before he drops the price, to consider parting some of those aftermarket parts if he really wants to make some money. I say go for it...maybe if enough people ask for aftermarket parts, he'll pull the trigger haha

Its very over priced...

Nice looking Xterra though

He would be better off seeing the roof rack and other parts off it and then get the 4k its worth

I sort of tried to suggest that he try that route to assure he gets the most out of it. He seemed open to it. I wouldn't be surprised if he caves..that rack is killer.

Gonna have to go ahead and disagree with him that there's no other xterra like it in ABQ....

Hahaha, I immediately thought of Chef when I read that! While we're not as common as lifted Jeeps, it's not a Unicorn either. Unless we're talking about that yellow first gen, damn thing is the Great White Buffalo.....

Well, there is a get together this coming Sunday with High Desert Wheelers in Bernalillo at a coffee shop with a quick Jemez ride after. Whole thing should be done before noon. If you're interested, I could invite you on Facebook for more details

I know I've read at least a dozen times about another transfer case fitting in the Xterra and being better because of the thicker chain. Would this transfer case be the one to snag up?

I called the guy and he said he pulled it off his Pathfinder 3 or 4 years ago when it only had about 100k miles on it. The transmission blew on it and when he ordered another one, it came with a new transfer case so he kept this one as a spare.

Also, for people that have more experience with this, how much should I pay if I bought it?

Depends on the year. I'm definitely not the expert, but I believe it was the earlier models that had the thicker chain. They later went to a thinner one like what's in the X. TJ would know for sure.

I forgot to ask the guy what year of Pathfinder it came out of. I was just assuming they all had the thicker chain, and didn't know that it went to a thinner one in the later years.

You want an older one. Grandpa knows the cutoff. I forget. Tx-10 is the one you are looking for if I remember correctly. 96-04 will work best, but I think the switch to the thinner chain was 2001 or so. Before 96 no electronic speed sensor. Cable driven.
