Hahaha love the title. I think it describes the majority of us piddly money-earners. Never seems to be enough in the wallet to keep up with want/demand for the X.

I'm impressed by how new your X is and how well you use it. Kudos! Like the three wheeling pose. :)

Thanks for the compliments. I bought it fully intending to wheel it, and its done great. With some experience, common sense, and a decent spotter from time to time, you can do a lot in a stock X without banging it up too bad. I think a lot of people don't realize you can go out and have a lot of fun in a stock rig. Doesn't hurt having hefty sliders either-they have been worth there weight in gold on the trails.

^Hahaha yes, exactly! Sliders are probably one of the best investments to aid in alleviating off roading damage. Very true, a stock rig can do amazing feats. I wheeled the heck out of mine before adding the lift. And now with a lift, I feel more comfortable pushing its boundaries even farther.

Keep up the good work!

Nice build man!! It's amazing how the wallet effects what we'd like to do to our rigs.. My son is 16 and he has a 06 X ( I found him a great deal on it, but he's paying for it) that he's trying to build and it a slow process..

Just made a deposit on a MAXterra rear bumper! Have heard nothing but good things about the bumpers and the service. I desperately need the hitch and recovery points, so this seemed like the next logical step for my X.

Went regular bumper no tire carrier. I may regret it in the future but I don't see why I would. Im 99% sure my X will never have anything larger than a 33" tire. Plus I figured I'd hate having to swing it out every time I opened the hatch, and I didn't want all that weight right now on stock rear suspension.

Dave said that most 285s would fit in the stock spot with his bumper so I'm gonna trust him on that.

Either way they're both sexy and according to every one that runs them, great products. I can't wait to get mine in

Good news-Just got a tracking number from Dave. Looks like my MAXterra bumper will be here Thursday! I should have time to put it on Saturday, and I'll be sure to posts some before and after pics.

Very impressed with Dave's fabrication skills and how he packaged it. I should have it on at least by Saturday-hopefully can get to it later today if I can get an extra set of hands to help me. Looking forward to being able to tow something lol.

EDIT: After looking at this pic I realized I need to add an XN sticker now that I'm an active member on here, so that will come soon.

Got the bumper installed today. Looks great, fits great, and install was simple. The LED license plate light is super bright at night too. Can't ask for anymore than that. I ordered some ARB shackles off amazon today, and I picked up a wiring kit from the dealership, still have to wire the trailer lights up.

Edited the pic to reflect a completely finished install

It was $62 after tax I think. I know the cutout was designed for the factory Nissan wiring, so thats why I went that route even though I probably could've found something cheaper that would have worked.

All finished. I also realized that I had idiotically posted my license plate on the Internet, so I removed the other pic.

Here's the bumper completely ready to roll

Found a pic of the first X while looking through my phone

Loved that thing, if I would've known what I was getting myself into I would've kept it and never traded it for a JK. But if that wouldn't have happened I wouldn't be in the PRO-4X now.

Tax refund should be here in a week or two. Going to take a bit of it and get a magnaflow muffler for the X. Also in the process of planning a wheeling trip to Uwharrie National Forrest for maybe late May. Also going to do my best to make it to NXM3, already want to go back to Windrock this year anyway, so why not do it with you guys?

Ordered a magnaflow 12580 muffler today. Gonna get the factory y pipe cut and go 2 in 1 out. Should be installed sometime next week, I'm looking forward to a more aggressive sound!

Got the magnaflow on today! Has a nice deep tone, but not too much different than stock. It's a good bit louder but not annoyingly so. Spent $110 on the muffler and $40 for a local shop to weld
It up, not too bad.

Went to Gulches last Friday, didn't do much wheeling, just helped the owner Skip check out the park conditions. Had a couple random pics I thought I'd post.

My rig and I will be at nXm 3 in September.

My CB HAS to get installed and wired up before that.

I would also like to do the fog light bypass, add a couple random tools/recovery items, and get some floor liners before I make the trek up to Windrock.

Thanks. The departure angle was the main reason I got it. It also has some nice recovery points and looks awesome.

I had a 09 X with the factory hitch and it pretty much stayed in the dirt when wheeling. This hasn't touched anything yet.
