Got my "new" suspension in today! Came from a 2015 Pro-4X with around 5k miles on it. I would like to PC the springs red and have the SPC UCA's red also but I'm contacting Nisstec to see if they already come to them in black or if they outsource themselves.

Yea, i just have to reuse my existing plates and what not. Waiting on a email from Nisstec about the SPC UCA's and then I should be ordering them.

Well the UCA's came in the mail while I was in FL for work. Also have another addition to the family on March 19th.

Been getting ideas for when I get the bumper fixed... The middle hoop wouldn't be so big or predominant. It would look more like maXterra's bumper hoops.

Yea I can't decide what I want. I like how simple the Calmini prerunner hoop is but I also like maxterra's .

Not much of an update, the X has been on hold since I got the dodge. I still need to install the new suspension but once I get the dodge buttoned up enough, I can actually tear it down and attempt to install the UCA's, Springs and shocks and not take it to a shop and charge me over $400. Still need to get the bumper fixed and some armor before September... Did take some night time shots though

Top is headlights and bottom is both

Well, I had a miserable failed attempt while installing my DDM HID Kit. I was going to have a shop install it but one shop wanted $250 just to install it and I told them they were crazy and another shop wanted around $100. I purchased the 6k 55 watt kit and relay harness. Plugged everything and made sure the bulbs work and everything was great on the pass side. Went to plug in the drivers side and now nothing worked. I un-plugged and re-plugged in everything and still nothing worked. Even brought it to one of those shops and they checked everything and everything looked correct. I took the bulbs and ballast out and had them check them and both ballast are good but 1 bulb was bad. I contacted DDM and they said 1 bad bulb wouldn't cause the other one not to work. I looked at the fuses and they looked fine apparently not. Put the old bulbs back in and they didn't work either so I checked the fuses and both fuses looked good but put in new ones and only the drivers side low beam would work. Both hi-beams would work though. So I have no idea what happened or why it failed but it did. I contacted DDM and they said they will send me an entire new kit. Someone suggested that I possible burned the low beam wire. They suggested that I have to follow the wire and find the burnt spot, cut it out and replace that section of wire... I have no idea where the hell the wire runs to much less where to find it. So yea... super awesome time and a huge pain in my a$$.

That sucks! Wonder what would caused a burnt wire?

This makes me reluctant to try HIDs on the S40. I'll get somebody who has done it before and let them do all the work ;)

Yea, I have no idea what the hell happened, and I'm pretty pissed about it. I've installed them before when I have my chevy and no problems at all. No clue why this one fudged up. Not sure how I go about getting it fixed if it was DDM's fault for fudging my low beam wire up... One shop wanted $250 just to install... I said are you serious? I don't need a kit, I just need it installed. He said, Yup, $250. I was like y'all are crazy. Another shop said about an 1hr-1.5hrs to install so it could be $75 to $125 or so to do it all. I just wasn't going to pay that much to get it done. Still haven't had time to check the wire so IDK what the hell I'm going to do. Just my damn luck though. I can't ever catch a damn break

So... Here I was just got in the X and went to leave and turned my headlights on. I forgot only one worked... Put it in Reverse and all of a sudden, the passenger side headlight comes on! Now I'm even more confused as to what happened lol. But hey, it's working now!

Heard back from DDM, this is their response:
"I discussed your case with my supervisor, and we believe it's a short inside the 2nd ballast which popped your stock fuse. We are going to send you a new Ultra 55W ballast, plus 1pc Ultra 9007.5500K bulb. Here is your free replacement invoice#: SO593445. It will be shipped out shortly. Once it's shipped out, we will email you the tracking# too."

Of course, I have no idea which is the good or bad ballast because I put them both back in the box along with the 2 bulbs. So I told them to send me 2 new bulbs and 2 new ballast.

Small update:
So when the HID failed, I packed it all up together, so now I have no idea which is the bad ballast and which is the bad bulb. I told them I wanted them to send me an entire new kit but they didn't. They just sent me a new bulb and a new ballast. They just said if its the bad bulb I would know right away and I'll know which ballast is bad when it blows my fuse. Awesome right? So I'm just going to return it all and get a full refund. It's been a damn hassle and it shouldn't have been. The company has been good though. I'm going to go w/ either HIDProjector.com kit or a TRS kit.

Also got a Cobra 19 DX IV CB I got off a member of XN. Just need to figure out how to wire it and where to put it.

I'm thinking about on the pass side by the shifter but not sure yet. My center console is too packed with stuff to even attempt to fit a CB inside it. Also ordered a 30" cheapo slim LED bar for the rear. As you can see... the cheapo round 4" one is working out so well. It still works but 3 of them are burnt out.

Installed my cheapo LED bar. Originally thought I ordered a 30" bar but actually ordered the 13" 36w bar. Its a slim bar only 1" tall. I'll probably put 2 pods up also but these would be good for on the sides under the rack.

It's not a flood like I would like but I didn't read the ad like I should have.
I got it off Amazon. It's branded as U-Box.

Ryan, I paid $40 for it. I probably wouldn't have bought it but I was thinking I was getting a 30" for that much lol.

I also finally hooked up my HID kit. Had to wait on DDM for a new ballast and bulb.

Its a 55w DDM HID Kit with 5500k bulbs. It's a nice crisp white color; not blue tint. Suckers are really nice. Once I get my sliders, I'll do a complete retrofit.

Well, I dropped it off at the mechanic Friday for them to install the suspension and new UCA's... in the 8hrs they had it, the only put on the rear and the InSain shock skids. I was quite pissed because I was to go out of town Saturday morning and would have loved to ride on my new suspension... Not the best picture but you get the idea.

Looking at the pic, is the rear diff leaking or is that a normal thing?
