123,000 and some change. Needs a new suspension (pretty sure I'm rockin the original shocks), an AC leak fixed (still not sure exactly where it is), fuel filter replaced, and a new windshield. All easily remedied things, runs like a top otherwise!

Steering's a little loose
Has the typical PS leak
Transmission could use some rebuilding love
Front passenger window is a little 'slow' (but I still love it)

Other than that, she runs pretty good for a 13 year old. Things I've replaced:
All for ball joints
AC compressor
AC dryer
Alternator
Fuel filter (never again)
Radiator
Timing belt at 160k
Water pump somewhere after 200
Basic maint items as well
Oh, and let's not forget the driver's door. Yes. The entire door.

180k as of Monday (well, it's been a couple weeks but officially Monday..larger tires and all that kinda change the odometer)

Just replaced the passenger side valve cover gasket. Driver side needs it.
I still have an oil leak, from where, I don't know.
I have a CV boot that's torn, but it'll do for now.
Standard Gen 1 Power Steering leak.
Needs all new belts
Needs Timing Belt done

2002 267000 miles.
Fuel filter (later found out it was a recall)
Oxygen sensors, back door window motor, Air boot, new exhaust, new hoses and alternator belt. Needs new power steering hose.
Timing belt 5 years ago after breaking as I pulled in my driveway. 2 years ago, new starter.
Last summer, new radiator and battery and put a new/used motor in it. Replaced the shocks twice. Approx 2 months ago put in a new/used transmission and I picked it up today after getting new lifters put in.
New stereo and passenger door speaker.
Drivers side seat belt.
Headliner needs replaced. After all that I still love my truck. I really hope that's it for a while. She's really starting to cost me.

Replaced rear hubs, rotors, parking brake assembly after it seized and cooked the bearings.
Replaced an oil pressure sensor.
Replaced the cats on the driver side and the muffler as well.
Cats on passenger side getting ready to go.
Replaced one of th coils, probably should just do the rest.
Replaced on CV, other needs it. Damaged boots in both cases.
I too have a door that needs to be replaced. Trail damage is the culprit, not manuf quality.

Numerous regular maint items... Cabin filters, bulbs, spark plugs, etc.
Engine and tranny seem to be running good and I will keep up w maint to keep it that way.

(i have a gen2, didnt realize this was a gen 1 thread)

2004 with 190K. Only thing I've HAD to replace was a catastrophic failure of my power steering pump. It basically ate itself in a sharp, stopped turn. Did my timing belt at 116K, and a new intake plenum at 120K (for a minor coolant leak that honestly wasn't that pressing of an issue). New shocks T-Bars, leafs and everything else in a suspension lift at 130K. Honestly, the power steering pump has been the only issue.

Catalytic Converter was bad, but that was my fault. Had some problems with the heat shield as well. Never will I go mudding again.

48,000 miles. i replaced the exhaust manifold at 31k. not exactly sure why it broke, but it broke off at the factory weld. mechanic said he never saw anything like that before.

other than that, only maintenance: oil, air filter, diff fluids and xfer case fluids.

and johnny i agree. not a mudding fan. too much clean up.

I'll just do the ones I currently have on the property and hold a title for.

01- silver 214,xxx seized bearings in bottom end. Someone ran it dry of oil. d'oh!
01 - black 140,xxx no major issues. general maintenance performed.
02 Supercharged - 122,xxx, burnt a set of lower end bearings, cooked a transmission, siezed a cam in the head
05 - 130,xxx transmission lost Reverse gear.

2004 that just turned over 130,000 today.

Being the second owner, I lucked out with a first owner that was religious with maintenance and the Carfax records to prove it (all dealer performed maintenance). That being said, when I first bought it I had the little dealership replace the front cats, which subsequently led to me having to replace the front O2 sensors. Nothing major, just regular maintenance to this point. Brakes are next, along with transmission drain and fill, and I should be set.

2004 with somewhere around 96,000 miles, I forget exactly. IIRC I'm the 3rd owner. Here's a breakdown of the issues I've had with the truck to date:

- Timing belt stretched and possibly skipped a tooth somewhere around 85,000 miles
- Auto hubs cracked (the splined rings within the outer portion of the hubs) somewhere around 80,000 miles
- Caliper slides froze, causing uneven pad/rotor wear and damage somewhere around 70,000 miles

That's pretty much it, those are the only things that needed to be replaced on their own accord. I've also had to replace the power steering gear, but that's because I smashed it on a rock and bent the output shaft. I also replaced the exhaust manifolds, all four catalytic converters, and all 4 oxygen sensors, but that's because at the time it was believed that the cats had been fouled and I doubted the ability to remove the O2 sensors from the pipes for re-use.

Of course there's always the general maintenance items, which I'll exclude from my list because they're maintenance - it's to be expected to be changing these parts. I should also specify that a good deal of the "other" things I've "had" to replace were simply for the purpose of upgrading - either by replacing a damaged or broken piece with something better or just replacing a perfectly functioning piece with something better because I was "in there anyway".

I'm not a gen 1 guy but I'm surprised not to see more U joints or CV's on this list. Sounds like a gen 1 is a great runner. A little weak on power but does it realy mater when it can fun 200k+ with just oil changes and 1 timing belt.

2002 X 122,000 miles, V6, 5 sp.: Lower ball joints, left lower tie rod end, the boots were toast! Typical PS leak so new clamps fixed that, radiator replaced, rear hatch washer nozzle, windshield washer pump, timing belt, water pump, auto tint rear view mirror died so replaced with an aftermarket manual type mirror. Other than that just routine maint. done.

Let me add another one....today I had to replace the steering drag link. Went in for a front end alignment and found it had a lot of play in it. $60.00 for parts, a bit of my valuable time and ready for the alignment. Love the "X" but wish the rear wasn't so tall. 3000 rpm at 65 in 5th gear is a bit much.
