The whole situation is crap. Everyone made mistakes with this GB. Between communication, taking too many orders, handing off the work to some powder coat shop. The fitment is crap and so far everything I've gotten from Corey had to be modified. I'm expecting problems with my front bumper as well, we'll see how it pans out when I move up there and take the bumpers back to his shop to get fixed.

Thats the crap part. There are awesome group buys all the time but for people that have only participated in this one or new people hearing the horror stories about this one it completely ruins future ones for fear of outcomes like this particular group buy.

I'm bummed to see this play out like it. I had every intention of ordering a front bumper from these guys. Just didn't have the funds. Hopefully a wrong is righted for you guys. The early products that rolled out from Insain got nothing but high remarks.

It's crazy how both the group buys on here blew up like they did. I had a buddy run into a similar thing with sliders he bought from b.a.m.f over on Tacoma world. He did eventually get them, and there awesome quality but it took nearly a year to get them.

I still want a bumper from Insain but i agree with the above post that this was a major damage to reputation

Has anybody actually received a bumper in the last month?

I've been emailing Cory. The guy will NOT communicate!

Insain was the first mod order I placed this year. Since then, I've placed orders from White Knuckle Offroad, Hefty, and even the notoriously slow Shrock. Funny, everyone but Insain has held up their end of the contract and delivered. Shrock was on time, Hefty was a couple weeks late and White Knuckle was a whopping one day late - and actually APOLOGIZED for the delay!

There has been a lot of finger pointing on this forum regarding to source of Insian's failure to keep their contract. Bottom line: Cory cashed my check and now refuses to communicate or deliver according to his word.

This GB was Insain's opportunity to solidify his name and reputation in the Xterra and business communities... Done.

It sucks you guys are all dealing with this - and at this point it seems someone should point out this pro-tip I always follow:

For large purchases, use your credit card. This way - you can get a chargeback from the cc company when an issue like this happens. You can show them you have been getting no communication and what not and more often than not - the multi-billion dollar company is going to toss your back your pittance of a few hundy.

I spoke with his wife about a week ago about my refund and that got squared away the same day. But she also mentioned if I still wanted the bumper they would be out of powder coating by September 18th. Just passing along what she told me hope it helps.

Back on 6/15 I got a reply from Corey about my first gen sliders. It sounds like he doesn't have a vehicle to use to make them for a non body lift. Which I wish I had known back in February when they gladly took my money. If people are having fitment issues with stuff that was made with the correct vehicle, then what are the chances sliders will work if it's just a guess?

Corey owns a gen 1.. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1441993917.247575.jpg

From what I was told corey didn't even know about gen 1 orders. I'm not going to be an apologist here.. It bothered me many ordered stuff that they never even seen.. For the life of me I don't get that one.
I know he is two weeks out of his shop on the east coast.

I'm sorry you guys have had such bad luck here I take it you can't have paypal refund?

If I'm not mistaken - paypal only allows either 60 or 90 day limit on filing a case/refunds/disputes so this GB has already exceeded Paypal's dispute policy.

Well either way, he told me he may not be able to do a non BL version (since the first gen they have is body lifted ). I used chase quick pay to pay the original guy taking orders.

Christopher Michael contacted me via Facebook (the NW Xterra club uses Facebook instead of a forum), and got me a refund within 24 hours with an apology.

I filed a complaint with the BBB this morning.

I just got off the phone with Phil over ar roadrunner fabrication (the powder coater) and he told me he has nothing at his shop from insain fab. He is going to contact Corey for us and call me back. I'm prepared to get a lawyer, I forsee InSainFab being closed down in the near future.
