Lift Advise Needed

Henry

Test Drive
I am thinking of lifting my 2013X 2.5" in the front and 2 " in the back. Front using a spacer on te strut. back is where I am having questions. 1) Block or Shackles? 2) Which are easier to install? 3) I have seen that both have pros and cons but not really understanding. Help.? 4) Finally if I do the lift of 2.5 in the front will I still need to do the "melt method" on the inner fender to accommodate a 285/75/R16? Thank you. Henry

Your rig is a spring under axle set up. If you put blocks you will actually be lowering the back end

here are your options for the rear:
1.) extended shackles. Will add a bit of height but tends to flatten up the stock leaf pack a bit.

2.) add a leaf system. This will stiffen up the suspension as well as add some lift.

3.) full leaf pack replacement. ( Ild man emu leaf pack, Or similar). Will add height as well as give a bit more of a stiffer ride

Thanks for the info. Just to make sure I have a Pro4X model. Is the above still true?
