Locker and Gears, parts List

Over the winter I am going to swap in some 5.13 gears and a rear arb locker.... I am wanting to know what exactly I will need to complete this task

SO Far I have

1. front and rear 5.13 gears
2. Rear ARB Locker
3. Powertank Manifold for ARB
4. Spanner wrench for ARB

What else do I need????

Ha ha ha funny you mention this Luke im trying I do the same thing this winter. Scored a rear third with 5.13s and arb already installed. Good luck can't wait to see it at WENT

Carrier bearings (your installation manual will tell you what you need), diff gaskets and diff oil.

I'm pretty sure that you will also need some pinion shims as well but I haven't figured out how I want to handle those for my install (same 5.14's and ARB's). You can take everything apart first and check to see if the original shims get you close enough with your new gears or you can buy an assortment before you start and try to return what ever you don't use.

Yeah. The carrier bearings are for some Toyota. The manual that comes with the ARB gives you the specifics.

You might as well get a full gearing install kit with all the shims you could ever need.

This includes carrier bearings. All be it the wrong ones for the ARB. It does however have all of the pinion goodies.

Good call, granite. The tools needed for this will probably cost more than the install parts.

A bearing splitter will also be needed unless you get lucky and guess the correct pinion shim thickness on the first shot:

That's what I was picturing in my head. A tap and die set for NPT pipe sizes.
