Maybe you guys know (4runner brush guards)

So I know were anti-brush guard around here but I figured I would ask you guys first before I ask over on the 4-runner forums.
Is it a good idea to put a brush guard on a 99 limited 4runner. my girlfriend so one today like her runner but lifted on 33s w/ a brushguard and lights, pretty sharp rig. anyways she wants to do hers up like that but doesnt know where to start, so im helpin. So the question is brushguard or no brushguard?? If so which kind and where should i get it from??? I wish i could convince her to get a real bumper lol

she ask why i didnt have a brush guard for the xterra lol. I was like well brush guards and xterras dont mix to well in crashes. ill make sure she sees those pictures. Ill keep trying to convince she needs a real bumper

Hey man I dont mean to be so negitive about it.. Im sure people have used them and been very happy with it.
When you see what these are made out of its a joke.. very thin metal and for what they cost.. 400 or so your half way to a real bumper.. Call up James with RLCweldfab.com
My bumper cost me 650.00 from his shop.. Im not sure if he build a 4runner bumper yet.. But Id bet he would like too
I think he gave some one a deal on the 1st one..

I will say this.. They do look nice.. Just too bad they only hurt in a crash

@ Dave, no man don't worry about I get what your sayin. When she throwed out the brush guard idea, i said the same thing. Im gonna try to talk her into a real bumper so well see what happens lol.
