my bumper

I have a shrocks and it rubs when I turn the wheels, not on the fenders but on the bumper. it also doeant seem to be on and all the way up, it was made for the 2 inch body lift but there is still a huge gap I thought it was soposed to be a tight fit.here are some pics. let me know if this looks normal

in this pic you can see what the bumper is hitting , its under the front of the fender right below the headlight. its like a nub of some kind.

I know they are supposed to have a gap to allow flexing but that seems like a pretty big gap

I just emailed them asking what they are doing down there. and that is as far up as I can get the bumper so that is the smallest gap I can get.

the clevis shackles that they told ne would fit dont. I know one thing, I will not be buying ffrom them ever and I have their skids sliders and the skids dont line up either. they need to focus on quality.

Did you buy this from the manufacturer or second hand? Did you check the spacing on your wheels for compatibility?

I bought it directly from shrock. spacing is fine they are stock rims.

Those are the easy questions. That truly is odd though.

Now there should be 2 sets up places to mount it. Are you sure your on the right hole?

That looks as if you ordered a bumper for a 2"BL but got the standard. I've seen both and what it looks like on a 2"BL X with standard bumper and that's exactly what it looks like.

I say, take it to a metal shop and see if they can raise (build up) the bumper mounting location.


Could you take pix of where the bumper is mounted to?

X3, looks like the gap is at least 2" between grill and bumper, must be a regular bumper. Shrock should at least pay to have the bumper modified for 2" BL locally, especially if it says for a 2" BL on your invoice. Best of luck to you.

shrocks emailed me back saying its the fisr they heard of me needing it for a BL, but I remember telling who ever I talked to when I ordered that I have a 2 inch body lift so its a normal one, he asked what do I want to do I said what are my options. I am not taking this thing somewhere and paying even more for what I paid for.

Well I am going to keep this one and they are going to make a new one and when it shows up we will just swap them out. I think thats a great deal. so getting a beefy bumper I guess is out of the question.
