This was one of my absolute FAVORITE things to use when I was a kid. I swear, I was purposely dropping stuff into hard-to-reach corners, nooks, crannies, cracks, holes, etc. JUST so I could go out to the shop, get it, get what I dropped, and then drop it somewhere else.

I don't have one, but will probably pick one up now that you've reminded me of the awesomeness that is The Claw Thingy.

yea... the one from HB did look kinda sucky...but the one from Craftsman tools looks a lot better. I need one to grab that sparkplug wire electode off in order to get #4 plug out.

I've tried everything else I could think of short of wedging a screwdriver in there. Even if it droke off, at least it would allow a socket to get onto the plug. That'll be my last ditch effort.

Those are handy little bastards. Theres also a magnet version i was a big fan of too.why dont you just break the spark plug though? Your going to replace it anyway & it doesnt take mugh to snap them off.

Because with my luck...it'll break in such a way that will require a trip to the stealership. The "CLAW THINGY" will be my last attempt to get it out the proper way...if it fails...then the gloves come off. I have alot of patience, but it does run out eventually.

Or go buyy a new upper intake gasket & pull it off to remove broken plug wire. The gasket is prolly $15 & takes about 15 minutes or so to remove lol.

Just brake off the top and sock all of the little bits up with a shop vac before nyou take out the rest of the plug, You dont want to get anything down in there that is not supposed to be.

I always clean them out with a blow gun and shop vac before I pull the plugs.

ended up jammin a phillips into the electrod, giving a twist to break the hold and lifting it out. Taking the claw back for a refund. I like the telescoping magnetic one better and it's lighted.

I love the claw, as well the magnet, I have both. Saved my rear so many times because I'm always dropping crap down into tight places. XD I got mine from my father who got them from his father though, both veryyyy old but work verrrryyy well :D.
