Is that GKN the same that makes a ton of fuel filters used by many OEMs and some aftermarket? I ask because the private label fuel filters where I work come from a company called GKN and they're great filters.

Yes it is. GKN is the largest OE supplier. Basically any automobile you can get your hands on has GKN parts in it.
